Does anyone know or remember if Mattel was selling their exclusive last year during Preview Night? If so, was there a lottery system or a limit?
Thanks!

Superfly, or anyone else who has attended Comic-Con the last few years -
Have you ever not won the Mattel lottery to purchase their exclusives if you were there all 4 days? Also, does Mattel try to unload their exclusives on Sunday or do they usually sell out before Sunday evening?
Also, has anyone purchased the Gentle Giant exclusives in past years? If so, how was that? I heard that they would be selling first-come, first-serve on Preview night. My friend and I will be arriving at the convention center around 2:00 on Wednesday and I was curious as to how many people may already be there at that time.

Thanks for the info. I plan on being there for Preview Night for the first time of the few times I've gone to SDCC. I was hoping to get as many exclusives as possible out of the way that first night, hopefully Mattel will have them available on Wednesday.

For anyone who has been to the Wednesday preview night of SDCC the past few years, I have a few questions.
1) How big will the lines be by 2:00? My friend and I should get to the convention center by then from the airport.
2) Is there only one entrance/main lobby that you come into to line up for badge pickup?
3) Once you pick up your badge, is there one main entrance into the exhibit hall or are there several doors you can line up at?
4) How hard will it be to get exclusives/shop on Wednesday night vs. the rest of the convention? I am expecting it to be less crowded, but I've never been before.
Thanks in advance for your input and advice.

Hal Roth & Zodach,
In some of the pre SDCC Mattel interviews I've seen, Mattel says the DC stuff will not be available for purchase on preview night.
I do know some exclusives were available on preview night. if the exclusiev is VERY limited in number, I'd check with the booth on preview night.
Get the booth locations for the places you want in avance. they should be up at the official SDCC website at this point. Mike, do you have that link memorized yet?
2:00? Don't know. Last year was the only year I've been so far. I didn't show up until the evening.

Oh, I've got the booth number down and it's right inside one of the entrance doors for Hall D, E, or F, but I was wondering if they open up all the doors at 6:00 or if they funnel everyone through the same entrance. Thanks!
