If you listened to the first episode of "Geek Shall Inherit" you know the question comes up "Who was cooler to meet at SDCC 2011?" And Jason wants it to be a poll. Jason met Shatner, Daniel met Matt Smith. YOU DECIDE!

Which would you be more excited to meet?

Shatner. Let me know when Smith does an album produced by Ben Folds, and then we'll have a comparison.

(Smith was unbelievably nice/generous with his time though)

Shatner is EVERYWHERE lately.

Its almost as if he has been cloned and opted out for "random" appearances at any local mall's Starbucks.

Now, the good Dr. on the other hand ... :wink:

Met Shatner already, so I guess in the interest of newness, Smith might be interesting. Then again, I've already met Tennant and McCoy and Baker (both) and Davison, as well as people like Barrowman on the Dr. Who side and most of the cast of the original Star Trek (hanging out with DeForest Kelley before he died was fun), so...

Both? I guess.

I actually saw him (Shatner) last year at Wizard World Chicago including some other New Generation Star Trek casts. But the lines were very on long them. So I just took a peak at him. Seems to be a very nice person. Always taking time to speak with the fans who stand in line for autographs (hence the long wait on the line).

Hmmm...I actually had a different meeting with Shatner last year at Emerald City Comicon. It was basically a conveyor belt and he didn't personalize our autographs. Now I don't know if that was because of his policy or his handlers insuring the line moved quickly? Still, given that I and everyone else paid $70 for his autograph I don't see the harm in personalizing it. As my wife pointed out, it shows that it isn't going to go on eBay as soon as someone gets home. Not to mention Nimoy the year before actually did personalize it and spoke to us for more than a second. So I'm going to go with the new Doctor.
