I forgot what the variants for the first wave where. I saw the entire first set today while toy shopping and was not impressed by the Red Tornado paint job. The yellow ring around his neck was swirled with red paint and the some of the plastic didn't match from part to part. Other wise the rest looked really great. Anyway they had one of each except Batman which there were two. So who are the variants?

One has the boot tops and gloves...the other is more streamlined. Classic vs modern.

Thanks for the link. I guess I need to go back and buy that Red Tornado because it was the variant.

He's probably talking about the Classic Red Tornado, which Wizard has labeled as a variant, and which is currently being shipped everywhere, while the supposed non-variant Modern Red tornado isn't.

Just wondering, but has anyone seen the modern Tornado variant? I haven't heard a peep about him since people started finding wave one.

I too, saw the supposed Silver Age Red Tornado "variant" figure. For some reason, I thought the Modern fig was the variant.
