If they had put Kalibak in the 6 pack, most likely he'd have been the only new figure. I'm much happier getting 3 new figures (including ones who have never been made in any line before).

Lashina made a tiny cameo in JLU but had a prominent part in the Superman cartoon....
Forager was seen in the JLU episode "Twilight"...
And Mantis was seen in an opening JLU episode...
All and all, I am thrilled that we are getting 3 new figures in a box set! I think Kalibak and Granny are out of luck since they would require new sculpts...but Metron could be easy to do and I think you could use the Catwoman body for a Mad Harriet figure.
But I am afraid all the other New Gods we have seen would require some new sculpts:
Desaad
Steppenwolf
Kanto
Stompa
Bernadeth
and Vermin Vunderbaar

I'm a little late to the party, but thanks for the news, Airmax!
While the box may not be the most logical from our standpoint I think it bodes well for lots and lots of new characters to clog our displays. I agree completely with Wildcard who said that those three were chosen to keep the line going like the first wave of DCUC.
Now I gotta wonder if the Darkseid in the pack has been re-decoed to look like he did in Destroyer!...

13 new figures this fall sounds friggin' fantastic, and better than I would have thought. I would have been happy for six new figures. Plus there are "fan requested redecos" in the works, which means improvements over things we've been complaining about.
I hadn't given up hope, but this gets me all kinds of excited.
And about them being a Target exclusive--that's where I've bought every JLU figure in the last two years anyway, so that doesn't bother me a bit.

So, let me get this straight, because it's vague...
13 new figures PLUS the New Gods 6-pack, PLUS the repaints/redecoes? That could be 20 new characters right there!
Hopefully it's all shown at Toy Fair if that's the case. If someone has the ToyFare issue I'd like to read the whole article...scans?

I thought the New Gods were 3 of the 13 characters that were coming. I'm hoping your math is more correct.
In any case, new characters--yay!
I'm gonna have to buy this Toy Fare. And that hasn't happened in a while.

Unless Mattel's going to be showing off the line to international buyers I doubt that there will be any JLU on display next week. Companies just don't show off exclusives at Toy Fair. I'm betting we'll see a few of them a NYCC and all of them at SDCC with maybe a few doled out to websites and magazines between them...
