We need to have this thread here - The DCUC Silver Age want list!

Some of these aren’t necessarily created in the Silver Age but are usually included with the rest. We’ve already got Starro, the Seven Soldiers, Doom Patrol, etc in the other threads, so I’ll leave ‘em out. I really could list dozens of characters I want, but here’s a few of the more visually-appealing ones I want:

Adam Strange – gotta have the Silver Age spaceman and JLA ally. To me, he really represents the era.

Image

Phantom Stranger – actually a 50’s character, he got more exposure in the original JLA comic. And he’s been one of my favorites since I was a kid.

Image

Captain Atom – I always liked this goofy costume, I would be great to see it as a figure (or maybe as a variant of the all-silver version).

Image

Animal Man – one of the most under-appreciated characters out there, and would make a great figure.

Image

Green Arrow – I always liked the simplicity of this costume. It really defines the Silver Age JLA era.

Image

Captain Comet – predates the Silver Age, but he’s always been one of my favorites.

Image

The Blackhawks – I always thought these guys had one of the best costumes/uniforms.

Image

Chronos – I always liked this guy. The costume is garish but would look great as a figure.

Image

Ocean Master – woefully underused, and one of the coolest costumes.

Image

Psycho Pirate – one of the best villain costumes out there.

Image

Killer Moth – just unique and cool. Do it for Scott! :D

Image

Signalman – totally ridiculous costume, and totally awesome figure.

Image

Catwoman – the Silver Age version in the purple dress. Plus, this cover is awesome.

Image

Ultra, the Multi-Alien – I always loved the whacked-out look of this guy.

Image

Nightmaster – I’m glad DC brought Jim Rook back in Shadowpact. Add a Detective Chimp and we’re set.

Image

Space Cabbie – just because.

Image

Metal Men – I’ve always had a soft spot for these guys, and I’ve been bugging DCD for 10 FREAKING YEARS years to make them. I want ‘em BAD!

Image

Silver Age Teen Titans – the original Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Speedy and Wonder Girl. Maybe a box set?

Image

Freedom Fighters – Uncle Sam, The Ray, Phantom Lady, Human Bomb, and Black Condor, with Doll Man as an accessory. Make it so!

Image

JLA Villains – Besides the forthcoming Amazo, I want Despero, Dr. Light, The Key, Felix Faust, Kanjar Ro & Queen Bee. I want ‘em all!

Image

Crime Syndicate of America – I want the original Ultraman, Superwoman, Owlman, Power Ring & Johnny Quick.

Image

THE ROGUES!!!!

Saving the best for last, the Flash Rogues Gallery: Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang, Mirror Master, Weather Wizard, Trickster, Heat Wave, Pied Piper, The Top, Dr. Alchemy, Abra Kadabra & Professor Zoom, the Reverse Flash. If we get all these guys, then I can die happy!

I always loved those group photos of villians or heroes. Seems kind of hokey that they'd take the time to stage a photo (especially the villians).

Yes to Adam Strange, Animal Man, Chronos, Ocean Master, Psycho Pirate, Killer Moth, Metal Men, Freedom Fighters, and all of those villains! The Silver age is chock full of quality characters.

Special props to Psycho Pirate, for the best name ever.

I'd love some JLA Silver Age Villains, as you so graciously showed above. I've asked before, but I'd love to get most of the Legion of Doom from the last season of JLU.

Some of those I could go for, but others really need updated. Maybe I'm just too young to have any feelings of sentiment towards the Silver Age, but I don't know how appealing some of these figures would be to the larger audience. I think that the modern look fits some characters better (Captain Atom for example).

I would love most all of these. Paticularly high: Adam Strange, Animal Man, Killer Moth, Psycho Pirate, the Metal Men, and the Rogues.

BTW, the Blackhawks are Golden Age characters. :D

yep, so is Comet, Stranger, etc - I just wanted to lump them all in together since they got more "superhero" exposure in the SA.

I pointed that out mostly because the Blackhawks Silver Age material is awful, awful stuff. After the war ended, they seemed to loose all direction. They even had superhero identities at one point!

agreed, good points. The SA stories are mostly forgettable, so maybe I should include them on...a Golden Age want thread? :D

That's what I was hinting at...

Make sure you list Hourman!

Yes, that's the one...

If memory serves, those didn't last very long, did they, like maybe only that issue? I've always loved Chuck's; he's "the Listener", so he's wearing a grey jumpsuit with ears all over it. Classy.

It really wasn't until the terriffic Evanier/ Spiegle issues in the 1980's that Blackhawk was very good again, was it?
