I couldn't find the original thread about this, so here goes:

I finally got another The Batman GL and tried to make a custom JLU Hal.

Firstly the The Batman head fits on a pin sticking out of the neck, where the JLU head is connected to a pin that sticks into the neck hole. Because of this I had to glue Hal's head down onto the JLU body.

Secondly The Batman Hal head is too large and has a long pointy chin. I cut the chin so it would be uniform with JLU jawlines. The head is still slightly too big, but not bad, I think.

I painted the gloves and the ring and here's my Hal custom!

Here's the image, I hope it works.

Now you just need to take a Killowog head and put it on the Hal Jordan body.

Innovative, but the question I have is couldn't customizers just use Kyle Rayner or Capt. Atom for base? This isn't a diss to JLU figure fans, but wouldn't it be a simple repaint?

But good effort. His head is a little bigger as said but nice attempt.

A real customizer could have sculpted Hal's hair and repainted all sorts of things to make a Hal custom. I'm way on the shallow end of customizing skills, so I will only do a custom if it requires minimal painting and no new molding. This is why I thought to use the "The Batman"GL head because there was no painting other than white gloves and a spot of green and cutting the chin square.

I also made an un-masked Wally West Flash figure using the head from Aerrow from Storm Hawks. He suffers from the opposite affliction as Hal, his head is slightly too small. Oh well, they were fun to make and my son thinks they're cool additions to his JLU gang.
