The Electronic Ion Claw is terrific. The alien line represents some of the best work Imaginext is doing. On the other hand, the pirate line is really out of gas and desparately needs to be rethought. Imaginext still seems stuck in the first Pirates of the Carribean movie where there are pirates and the undead. The line really needs some good guys.

The Pirates line seems to be a Kohl's exclusive line. Maybe that is why it isn't really getting any good updates/refreshes?

I picked up a few pirate items from K-Mart about a month ago. IIRC they had the skeleton diver, skeleton 2-pack, and the regular pirate 2-pack, as well as the whale (I think). The only thing I ever see at Kohl's are the ship and the whale.

Also, really digging that firefighter. My son is going to love that guy.

OK, I was wrong, I get it. Sheesh!

:P

I know it isn't likely to happen, but I'd love for their to be some sort of announcement about future product at SDCC...

So, now that we've covered that... are any of the skeletons just a good basic normal skeleton without the add-on pieces?... I really want one of two plain-Jane skeletons to put along side the blind bag monsters that are out and one the way.

Here's the skeletons from the 2-pack without their armor/disguises:

I believe one of the earlier pirates skeletons had ribbed chest, maybe came with the pirate ship?

Hmmm... guess I just have to hope that the bling bags will get to a good nekkid skeleton someday...

(though I am wondering... skeleton head on the suit body for Director Bones?...)
