Now that wave 4 is at Walgreens and Wal-Mart, what is my best bet for finding DC wave 3 ?
I have realized I only got 4 of the 6.

Has anyone heard anything regarding the Imaginext stuff that's specific to Toys R Us? Are they planning to roll those toys out to other places? I keep dropping by my local TRU to see what's available, and I've been debating buy what's still there in case they are no longer available once the stores shut down.

She is Cassandra Caine, a noted member of the Bat-family. I believe she was once Batgirl but I think she is currently retconned as Black Bat. She is rad look her up.

Wow... that’s a nice find.

Yeah, Cassie was once Batgirl, but her costume then fully covered her face and she was mostly mute. Not sure if that is still part of her character or not.

It’d be nice if Walmart (and Target for that matter) started stocking more regularly :?

Hey guys, hopefully I'm not too late to the party here for some good tips on making Imaginext customs.

I want to start making figures from scratch, and I want them to be play-tough. One of the best qualities of these figures is how incredibly strong they are under rough play conditions, so I want my customs to have the same durability. They need to be able to survive when my toddler inevitably gets his hands on them and adds them to his collection. Plus, it won't be long before he'll start making requests for customs.

I can sculpt, and I have a little experience with molds and casting. So I plan on popping open a basic figure to make a mold, then after casting, sculpt additional features out of a strong material like Instamorph or Apoxie and fuse them to the figure. I've used both to make costume accessories so I know they're pretty tough to crack.

However, I'm not savvy when it comes to paint. Does anyone have tips to paint a figure, in a way that's play-tough and non-toxic?

Also, I want to be able to make wearable accessories like the ones Imaginext figures come with. Has anyone here made custom wearables?

I'm thinking a moldable rubbery material like Sugru could work, and I think I know how to deal with its short working time, too. I want to have some custom wearables done within the next month or two, so hopefully I'll have something to share soon.

@ Kheper, can’t wait to see what you come up with. Love your idea for making an original mold. I think there was a guy that made molds for JLU figures and some custom heads, I can’t remember his name but what you describe sounds like what he did.

Earlier today I had this:

But not long after it became this:

I made a foil bust as close to the size of an Imaginext figure as possible, to use as a base for a prototype (since the figures themselves can't go in the oven). I tried to transfer the baked prototype onto a figure while it was still hot and pliable, so that it could be fitted to the figure, but instead of bending it just crumbled to bits. :/

Guess I'm gonna have to wait till I have supplies to make a figure mold. If I cast a figure out of plaster I think that should work as a base for baking prototypes that're already perfectly fitted to a figure.

Playskool Heroes rather than Imaginext but there are a couple of new figure packs. They aren't great. I'm not wild about the extra oversized extremities and permanently attached extras.

Ant-Man and Wasp which I would order except that the giant antenna on Ant-Man's head does not look detachable.

And an infinity war pack with new variations on Thanos, Black Widow, Hulk and Iron Man.
