Those star wars/marvel guys are pretty cool and do look in scale with imaginext. Now if they can just keep competitive with quality and price point of imaginext I will be on board

The Marvel figures really needs to step it up. As stated, the Hulk is very puny looking. Off to find Catwoman.

At this point I will have to wait until I see the Marvel Adveture Heroes in person so I can compare the scale with Imaginext. If they are in any way like the Adveture Heroes Police or Firemen that Hasbro did then they are going to look far off from Imaginext and I most likely will pass on them. Besides I would much rather concentrate on the DC Action League and Imaginext releases for my kids. By the way did anyone happen to notice that the FP website has the Batcave pictured but at this point is not available through the website.

I've seen the Spidey/Hulk/Wolvie and Spidey/Ock/IM three packs and bought them. They're okay to me. But I've also seen two packs (IM/Doom, Spidey/Goblin, etc.) at my LCS that are not exactly the same line. Does anyone know about these at all? Because those looked better (IMO) than the stuff that's currently up on the Playskool website.

Sorry. Didn't mean to hijack the thread. I should have checked first.

More on topic, am I missing something? I don't get the appeal of that new Batcave. I've looked at the pics, and I'd honestly choose the old over the new every time. And I'm being serious - is there something extra cool about the new one that I'm not seeing, or are we all just excited about newness?

1. Excited about the newness. 2. I think it will make a good addition to the current Batcave as an extension piece. 3. You can HANG THE BATPLANE on the side. That is totally cool.
I figure, the more Imaginext stuff gets released, and the more that is then bought, means the more they will continue to make. While FP is generally silent and non-communicative with the collector market, they are very aware of what the kiddies (absolutely their major target demo) are in "want" of and cater to that market. They are constantly refreshing concepts, re-invigorating lines, and rolling out old styles/themes with new elements and freshness.
Honestly, I wish other major toy manufacturers would learn a bit from the FP model (not everything, but some of the key and more effective strategies).

Just realized while setting up that link that the new Batcave comes with Batman and Robin (naturally) and Robin STILL DOESN'T HAVE A CAPE!!! Hopefully that will be rectified by the time this item actually ships but I kinda doubt it

Hopefully that will be rectified by the time this item actually ships but I kinda doubt it That's funny because that was similar to my first reply on the Matty boards regarding this Batcave. I probably won't buy it as i don't really need another big item but if Robin actually had his cape I'd buy it in a second.

I just called FP Consumer Relations to ask when the new Batcave would be available to purchase (don't know why I bother) and I was told that the Batcave would be available at retail within 6 weeks so around August. Yeah that sounds all to familiar with what I was told about the new Batmobile and the Penguin sub. The person I spoke with on the phone suggested that I just keep an eye on the website for availability. Why is it so hard to get a straight answer from these people?
