Mattel getting the ThunderCats license bums me out. I am not looking forward to dealing with Matty again. Anyone know what the first figures will be?

Anyone seen the pics of Lion-O or Vulture (Vultureman) yet? I am dying to see what they look like.

Should be plenty of info after the panel today.

And for anyone interested, Mezco is apparently continuing their Mega scale Thundercats, as well. Seems they have a Tygra and Cheetara on display.

It's still just a rumor at this point but people claimed seeing Lion-O and Vultureman figures when the displays were being set up.

...and, yeah, it's gonna be on Matty... At least they offer the quarterly program now, if (and I'm sure it will be) it is a sub program.

We'll know after the panel though as hard and fast as that rumor is getting around I would think Mattel would have tried to shut it down by this point if it weren't true...

It's official!

Lion-O (Jul)

...apparently that's all they showed, guess we'll have to wait for NYCC or Toy Fair for more info...

Holy crap! This is a toyline I've been waiting for for a long time.

The MOTUC is great but I have more of an affinity and a love for the TCats. And to think I may finally have a Bengali, Pumyra and Lynx-o.

I hope when all is said and done they can do the modern toon as well.

Cool! I'll go check. I was watching ToyArk's feed after our site went down.

They are built on MOTUC bucks. No sub info or pricing...

Lion-O (Jul)
Jackalman (Aug)
Mummy Mumm-Ra (sub only)

Since the discontinuation of JLU, I haven't been in the Mattel forums too much. Thunderian royals, pseudo-undead devil priests, and Uncle Ozbert just might bring me back.

Damn it!!! I was hoping to be scaling back on my figure collecting over the next year. But Thundercats is too good a line to not get back into. I sold all my original figures a few years ago, but the modern sculpts and articulation on these will mean I'll be picking these up. I hope they get the scale right for the characters though, Wily Kit and Kat need to be small, Panthro needs to be a bit shorter than the other male Cats and Mumm-Ra needs to be bigger than the rest.

Do you think we'll see a two seater Thunder Tank?

I'm in the same boat as Elvis. I cut down to wrestling and marvel legends but I think I'm in with these and batman animated line. Good thing is these won't hit till next year. Time to save up.

They look good, but as Elvis alluded to, I'm concerned about scale issues. Tygra and Panthro should not be on the same buck as Lion-O. That's a huge deal for me, and probably a deal breaker.
