Ok, I remember back a few weeks ago, we all were talking about how occasionally people were finding 6-packs at Target that had common figures in place of new ones... like Mantis would be missing from the "Apokolips" pack, and Flash would be in his place.

Anyway, I was looking on ebay, and found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/JLU-Apokolips-Set-E ... 240%3A1318

Now, I agree with the seller - it's BIZARRE, because The Ray IS a rare figure.

It also looks to be a pack with the variant Blue shield for Forager (something I saw about a month and a half ago on the shelves)... normally, his shield is yellow.

You would not believe how people would go into such troubles just for attention. :D

Man, that is weird. Also weird that this guy has 100% positive feedback.

People have talked about this here before....People take them home, take out the figures they want and replace them with unwanted figures. (I know the Ray is rare but who knows.) They then return them to Target, to an employee who most likely has NO clue as to who these characters are, and just sends it back to the shelf. I'm guessing that's EXACTLY what happened because Batgirl wouldn't just be laying around the factory to be included by mistake. She is NOT included in JLU.

The ebay seller might be totally innocent or a total fraud. Either way, I wouldn't be spending money to get an ambushed set of JLU figures. If it was a set of 6 Wonder Woman's , THAT might be a different story! LOL

That is a very strange auction. What makes it more strange is that someone, whether it was the seller or someone else, apparently doesn't know what they are doing. Including a rare figure like the Ray in a common six pack is quite bizarre. Including the Batgirl figure just makes this auction even more than strange.

I think that it looks like someone did this just to get attention to their auction. Possibly, in the hopes that the six pack goes for a much higher price than it normally would produce.

As always, just my two cents.

What an odd thing to do by replacing Mantis with The Ray.

Seeing this reminded me that about two weeks ago I saw a lone MM Bat Pod at Target. I did a double take and noticed that someone had returned it with the launching Bat Pod (from Tumbler) with the Bats figure on it. I took it to the girl at the service desk and explained what had happened, making sure she understood I pointed to the back of the package where it says "figure not included".

I believe that was a joke, lol.

But yeah, this set with the Ray added is pretty crazy. If I didn't just finally pick one up, I'd place a bid just for that figure.

The Batgirl is part of a series I have only seen at Odd Lots/Big Lots, a closeout store. 19.99 for a Ray figure isn't a bad deal if you actually get the items after you win the auction.

I wasn't saying I thought it was real, just that it was really weird that The Ray was included.

I still think it's bizarre, because you'd think that someone who took the trouble to switch out the figures would have at least a passing knowledge of the line, and what figures might be more rare than others.

I don't know - it's weird!

I believe he meant that comment for the people who actually bid on the auction,

The Batpod from the Stealth Launch Batmobile and the Crank and Launch Batpod are smaller about 2/3 the size of the Movie Masters Batpod, it would look really odd in the box.
