Captain Atom had one DC Direct figure to his name until about 3 months ago. Now he's got 3 Mattel figs (actually 4 counting the gold DCUC version).

I love it. After all this time, I still can't believe that DCD never made a non-artist version figure of Cap. Thanks Mattel! :lol:

I don't know if "Love" is the right word I think its more over they had to pay extra to license him and they'd like to get their money's worth. Either way I love the JLU figure and I might pick up the DCUC to make a custom me (same hair line)

It's almost like I work at Mattel (Cap is one of my favorite characters of all time)...

I got a Silver Cap from TRU Online, but it had two left lower thighs...so I found a perfect one at a B&M TRU this weekend...I was quite pleased.

Capt Atom 's star rose due to his use in the JLU show. I think the DCD version was made partly because it was known Mattel could not make one.

I like to think that demand from JLU fans caused the negotiation to have the license expand.

Glad he's finally in the JLU line! It's LONG overdue! I love the DCUC figure as well.

I think that DCIH Captain Atom has larger hands than the DCUC one!

Ha! Yeah, they (the DCIH) have some big gripper mits (with nothing to put in them...). Someone at the Mattel DCIH design team hates closed fists.

I love him, he is fanstastic, hipersexy, very powerfull, great costume, finally someone have given him the place that he deserves and that neither Dc or Dc Direct did
