Some random thoughts:

Killer Frost and Captain Cold have both done well in prior polls, which begs the question why Mattel has not made them yet.

JSA members Mr. Terrific, Hourman, and Dr. Midnite all have scored high in the past. I find Dr. Midnite's fall in standing interesting.

For Dr Midnight, could be a case of "he's an easy repaint and we're pretty sure a JSA 6 pack is coming in the fall" thinking. Just my two cents though. Didn't even really notice he'd fallen that far until you mentioned it.

For Killer Frost and Captain Cold, have to agree. Hopefully Mattel will get them made. :D

Only five votes for Ambush Bug? You disappoint me, AFI voters. :P

Thanks Superfriend. I would have thought Nightwing would have cracked the top 5.

I'm glad Ted Kord (BB) is number 2. Sweet. I hope this comes to fruition.

As one poster pointed out above, they don't need any more heroes at all (not likely to happen in a hero based line). The "top 10 overall" allows voters - and the group - to express the direction they realy want the line to go in. If we get 10 villains before any heroes that says something. Its also the reason why the females were merged. There were not enough female heroes on the show left to be made that anyone cared about.

I 100% agree with this since an additional 3 of my top 10 were not on any list (I wanted 8 women figures made first)

About nightwing and clayface i like the BTAS versions from kenner they look pretty cool with my jlu collection and think they were really well done, also batgirl, the rise of sin tzu batgirl is the best looking. Did ppl referred to an original nightwing costume?
On villains side im hoping they finally do Kalibak, it could be in a pack with granny, steppenwoolf, stompa and mad harriet, it would be cool since lashina has been already released.

In terms of cut off. I realize the having to have 3 votes to be listed is arbitrary. And thinking it over, may be too low. With 126 votes, where should we cut off the list. Any specific number seems to be random. Is there a statistical value / percentage we should use?

5% = 6.3 votes. Should we drop off all characters that got less than 6 votes?

My top ten choices performed thusly:

Ambush Bug - 5 votes
Ace (Justice League/JLU Royal Flush Gang) - 8 votes
Cassandra Cain Batgirl - didn't make the list
Firestorm - 7 votes
Vandal Savage - 58 votes
Kalibak - 64 votes
Toyman - 61 votes
Granny Goodness - 44 votes
Dessad - 15 votes
Killer Frost - 63 votes

What does this tell us? Well, it means that most of you have excellent taste in villains, but you could really use some guidance in the hero department.

If you look at for instance the villains. You have 618 votes for 109 characters. Only 22 of them had 6 or more votes (20%) but they captured 477 of the total votes - 77%.

Based on that, I do think you should drop off the characters that got less than 6. I love some of the lower tier characters as much as the rest, but if you want Mattel to focus, you go with what gets the most attention.

Just my two cents of course.

Wouldn't it be great if this line went long enough that we couldn't even think of characters for this poll?

If we're changing the cutoff I would suggest 5 just because I like it better than 6 haha. No real mathematical reason.

So this is our top picks?

64 - Kalibak
63 - Killer Frost
61 - Toyman (JLU)
60 - STRIPE
58 - Vandal Savage
53 - Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)
53 - Captain Cold
52 - Gypsy
44 - Granny Goodness
42 - Livewire
40 - Crimson Avenger
35 - Speedy
35 - Circe

Killer Frost, Toyman & Livewire would be great as singles to get some kewl accessories.

Circe with Batman & B'wanna Beast could get a hard to find figure and a new character into a three pack (and one for the kiddies too!)

I think Blue Beetle, Firestorm, Gypsy would be an awesome three pack or add one other to make a good Matty 4 pack.

Speedy with two other recognizable titans would be AWESOME!!! However I would love to see him with his bow and quiver.

I still think a Flash Rogues pack would be a killer exclusive and would show how well the exclusives can really sell. At least they may consider doing CC's gun if he was an exclusive single. I really want Trickster with a snot gun....Capt Boomer and Weather Wizard or the Top (with Red Tornados whirlwinds as accesories) would round out the Rogues nicely.

with Kaliback and Granny on the list I think they would be great in a six pack with Steppenwolf,Desaad,Kanto & Virman Vunderbar.

I would love to see Vandal Savage in a three pack with Sgt Rock and Steve Trevor or the Future Superman

I still think Stripe and Crimson Avenger will show up with the rest of the JSA somewhere.

Just to dispute the other votes for Kalibak, I want STRIPES more than Kalibak by a longshot! Finish out the League (I'll even take a Snapper Carr!) and the major villains then go wherever the line takes us...
