Will it be listed at 40 bucks on matty collector when it goes on sale there? Or will it be 25 like the others?

$40 (they've posted that). The special packaging with the lights and voice chip are likely a large part of the added expense.

I didn't see where it was going to be 40 on Matty as well. Thanks. This will be probably the first DCUC figures I pass on.

The prices they listed for everything were for both the con and Matty.com.
Just for reference, both 2007's Man-Bat and 2008's Lobo were approximately $15 higher than a single figure at retail at the time and Lobo didn't even include an fancy double outer box or electronics...

I was fortunate with those. I got lobo via ebay...19 bucks (YEAH) and I got manbat in a trade.
I figure I'll wait. See what happens. I have no issues with the "COMIC CON" exclusive being 40 bucks...but if it shows up on matty...it really isn't a comic con exclusive...so that's why i'm thinking 25-30 bucks is what it should be based on their other two packs they sell.
again..I don't have a problem with the 40. I just don't want to pay it. I didn't know if they'd do it less later

Well it should be cheaper when it hits Matty, since Gleek won't be included. The online purchasers will need some kind of incentive to buy the Wonder twins at $40 a pop.

I think those things will hang around at $40 and no Gleek, but I guess we'll see.

Gleek has always been promoted as "free with purchase" or "bonus with purchase" so he's never been linked to the price (although we all know that his cost is part of the equation no matter how they word it). I do agree with you and MJ that with no monkey the twins will be a hard sell at $40...

They are only selling leftovers though..right? If by some chance they sell out at SDCC...there won't be any? (I thought I read that)

A seller on ebay already has the set with Gleek in hand.
http://cgi.ebay.com/SDCC-Comic-Con-2009 ... 7C294%3A50
I didn't buy this one, but I did break down and pre-buy a set on ebay. I got a better deal than this link and once you subtract the shipping (That even Matty.com would've charged) I ended up only paying about 9 bucks for Gleek.
I don't love having to pay extra, but that's not too bad, and its a lot cheaper than hotel and airfare.
I pre-bought on the gamble that it would be cheaper than when sellers have the items in hand. Hope I was right!
Plus this way I get to shift some of my August toy bill into July. Can you see how hard I am rationalizing!

We have this issue every year. In general, eBay prices for exclusives spike during the Con, and as more become available after Con goers get home and some of the items sell, the price comes down a bit.

There's a seperate run of the Twins (and everything else except the book and exclusive exclusives) done for the website. What they've said is that they expect to run out of Gleek before the show is over but from what they've said I guess they'll destroy whatever stock of Gleek (if any) is leftover...

If virtual peg warming is possible this twin pack would be it without Gleek. I know there's no way I'd get it without him.
