AFi forums - slow loading and errors

I figured I'd post this here, since most of the traffic is on this forum.

We know that the site is loading slowly, and many of you are getting errors. We are doing our best to accommodate the extra traffic for SDCC. If you encounter slow load times, please stop reloading your browsers multiple times - it only worsens the problem because it hits the web server with more "requests." The site will load even if it takes a while.

If the browser stops, or shows a "connection interrupted" error, then that's the time to hit reload. But otherwise, please try to be patient (trust me, I know how frustrating it is when the site won't respond!). While you wait, you can always check out the AFi facebook page, where all news will be posted as well.

quick update - as you can tell, we are still having major issues due to the DoS attack. We have been working all day and night (specifically Vader) to get it resolved and make sure the site is up-'n-running tomorrow for the Mattel panel and news. We are sorry this is happening, and we appreciate all your patience! :wink:

I was wondering why my favorite website was loading slower than usual. I also didn't know AFI was now on Facebook, so thanks for the link!

So, was this only directed at AFi, or was it more widespread? I ask because nearly half of where I wanted to go online wasn't working yesterday.
