Let's see how long it takes him to sell out, and IF. IF he does well, we get more online exclusive, if not, then forget about it. ALOT is riding on this figure for JLU fans.

My guess, he sells out by Friday, I hope.

I say he sells out at SDCC when they take the left-over stock there to get rid of it...

LOL, that would surely suck! And go against their rule of no Lobo at SDCC 2 years in a row.

Honestly, it's all going to depend on how many they made and we aren't ever going to find that out... :(

(BTW, it wouldn't be Lobo two years in a row... DCUC Lobo was in 2008. )

If they have to do that then it's a given that we will not see any more over-sized figures on Matty.

It was a JOKE!... I said in the other thread that we should be fine as long as he's gone within two weeks. Longer than that and I don't know...

Yes, I know. It might have been a joke but I really could see them doing that. Since we have no idea of how many were made it's impossible to really guess when he'll sell out.

I know this is probably just conjecture or supposition on my part, but isn't Lobo the most popular plus sized figure we could've gotten? I don't think how well he sells has any bearing on how well Kalibak or S.T.R.I.P.E would sell. I understand that Lobo is the guinea pig, so to speak. But I don't think whatever time frame sells out in, will be a true assessment of the potential large figures to come.

If Lobo IS the most popular you could assume that anyone else less popular would not sell as well simply because they are less popular. I still think STRIPE and Kalibak are worth a shot at least. After those two... I'm not so sure.

I hope he sells out when everybody who wants one gets one. :) And anybody trying to scalp him can choke on them.

While I do expect them to do that if he doesn't sell out, I don't really think it'll be more than two weeks unless they just made waaaaaaay too many of 'em...

That logic doesn't make any sense.

If Lobo is the most popular plus-sized figure, he should sell a large margin of units more than Kalibak or STRIPE. If he performs poorly - and Mattel is very much aware of how popular he is - that doesn't give them much incentive to produce less-demanded characters.

And that really wouldn't surprise me either. Hope it's not true but hey it's Mattel.

Maybe what I said was too ambiguous or vague, but that was exactly my point. Lobo could perform extremely well, giving Mattel a "false sense" of the production run they should do on any subsequent plus sized figures. If said figures don't sell nearly as well as he does, then they'll think they've failed and blame that on us inevitably.

That's all I'm saying.
