Anyone else think Mattel is crazy to try and dump the rest of the customer service stock of the defective Goddess's on the 18th ?

Not going to try to discount the problems others may have had with the Goddess, but I had no problem with mine. 'Course I didn't play with her, just posed her, put her on a stand and to the shelf she went...

I hear ya I guess I am just bitter cause I traded for Goddess recently and was planning on getting Evil lyn and the Palace Guards but now I am not getting anything to broke to buy one thing off their site.....And I live in one of those states that will NEVER get charged tax on the site.

My Vikor arrived today. He is awesome! I am shocked I received my sub figure so quickly. Vikor is really nice.

I'm glad Mattel can follow the style-guide, now that we pointed it to them and told them it's what we'd buy... But this Catra...just looks about as hot as She-Ra and Adora did. Which is to say, not that hot (though, yes Adora was the hottest thus far, by just a little). That body just really doesn't sell the cartoony/sexy appeal of these character designs at all. And that hair? Yeesh. I know people prefer plastic hair to rooted, but this doesn't really make a strong argument for the former. It just looks weird. Very anime, somehow... Well, I'm curious to see how the masks attach to her head. I'm also eager to see a close-up of her red mask. The Filmation mask is always the hardest thing for customizers to get right on their Catra figures. Can Mattel actually pull it off?

The frontal view picture I saw of Catra from the Toyfare article had a bunch of multi-colored pixelated squares obscuring the image. Did anyone else see this? From what I saw, she didn't look nearly as pretty as expected her to be.

Yeah, I saw that too. It's probably just because it was scanned in a hurry by someone. I expect there to be a clearer picture online at some point.
And yup - Catra's one of the Babes of POP-dom. If she doesn't look sexy, then something's wrong with this line.
Much as I want to support POP, at 20 bucks a pop (snicker), these figures should look as good as Mattel's Lobo or Kalibak (....you know what I mean). And they don't. Sigh.

Yay! No WSOD for me on Tuesday. With any luck she'll be offered with other product I want and I'll be able to save on shipping. A guy can dream, can't he?

In case anyone was wondering, this is not a re-issue goddess figure and she is left over stock from the first release, ergo she will have the brittle plastic and the pelvis and neck piece may shatter if handled too much. There have been numerous problems reported with the goddess figure.
