I finally bit the bullet and got Teela off of eBay.

I traded mine away years ago and never replaced it, and stopped looking at eBay when prices were over $100. Have they come down at all?

No. They're still going for over $100. I'm still kicking myself for missing it Black Friday 2011 when it was like $11.

Still, I saved up for almost six months and it's nice to have one of my white whales. Shadow Weaver is next :)

Come on Mattel-- I want to get behind the new SD MOTU line-- even though it is beyond overpriced (although at least they are adding a BAF piece) However we are into figures 3 and 4 of a line and you are already going to the well- with a variant character...

I mean come on-- Only available on a collectors site (so the mom and kid argument is out), and it is a "forced" buy with the BAF piece.. so you decided on the second release and you have to do another He-Man-- maybe I could have accepted that in the last pack (but probably not)-- but the second release...

Im sorry- there is no excuse for that-- its like putting black hand out in three different packs in the first wave of DCIH.. You guys suck..

Actually it's a completely new line as far as Mattel is concerned. They're a half inch or so smaller than the two from SDCC so the new ones are not really a continuation.

Then, as much as I might want them, I am sitting this out.

The He-Man/Skeletor set I got from SDCC will be more than enough to keep my son and I happy.

Well That's even stupider-- I thought all the exclusives were supposed to be introductions to new lines, too expensive for a general release or something along that line.. Not one offs (the Death Figure not included)--- of something really close to the future product that wont fit in..

So if they are smaller (a 1/2 inch almost being 20-25% smaller)-- are they going to reduce the price accordingly..

The ones at SDCC were considered tied to the app game more than a test from what I gather. Supposedly the new ones are smaller so that they can include the build-a-castle pieces at a $20 price point.

The explanation for the battle armor versions of Skeletor and He-Man being first up was due to the SDCC versions being the standard ones... Not exactly sure how that applies when the new line is a different scale...

Haven't been on the Matty site in a while
But I just noticed that they added battleground teela to the essentials on the shop page
Anyone know How recent is this addition is and if theres been any official word as to whether or not other left over figs will also be added?

She's been around for a while. Don't remember exactly when but she was around when they did a lot of the holiday mystery sales and probably since before then.

You never know about other figures since some rare figures appeared briefly during the holiday sale period but I get the impression what you see is what you get and all they have. Surprise warehouse discoveries seem to be limited to the aforementioned special sales.

It's not a bad figure. It's a bonus figure after all. It didn't take the spot of an otherwise essential figure. It's infinitely better than Wonderbread He-Man.
The internet generation feels like such an entitled bunch that they would complain about every single thing.

Kind of interesting. I don't have a subscription, but I might try to get this on eBay. It looks cool.

Just watched the newest video-- Scott always comes off as a tool....

Little disappointed in Battle Lion-- I know they are using the same tooling-- but based off the cartoon he should be much larger than that...

And his reasoning is not the same as selling a subscription to fans as it is to stores.... (stores have buyback programs and other options as well that most manufacturers will live up to...)

Also if he swears that having the entire line planned out for the next two years (and getting this sub is the only way it can happen)-- you can tell me the list of characters at least.. I don't need to see prototypes or mockups -- just a list of characters..

By the way-- I finally watched the 2002 MOTU cartoon all the way through and all of the documentaries-- and Scott comes off as a tool as well even before these days-- I guess you just cant help it if you are a tool..

And yes we can argue whether or not it is a tactic-- but I put my money where my mouth is on this one and ordered 2 of the subs..

Thanks for the list- I have seen it before.. but that is not my point...

I am talking about his 6 figure POP subscription-- in all those interviews he says it can't be done without this sub-- and if it doesn't certain characters will push others out-- so obviously they know what the 6 are--- if you need to sell the mini sub- then tell us the 6-- don't tell me I will see the rest at Power con or SDCC--because those come way after March 10th...
