I'm may be wrong, I just assumed that was a TYPO. Based on the fact that almost everyone (including my brother this summer) that knows i'm obsessed w/ the JLU cartoon & action figures, because they ALWAYS ask me: "When did Green Lantern 'turn' BLACK?". I always state that my opinion is that they used John Stewart GL instead of Hal Jordan because they needed a Black main character. I usually then segway into my opinion that they chose to use Hawkgirl instead of Hawkman due needing another female lead charcter. How accurate those statements are is unknown to me @ this time!

Nope, people have mentioned to me that they saw the trailer but were confused as to why Green Lantern was NOT black in it and I've seen somewhere else online that this has been the general reaction from non comic folk. The only Green Lantern thing that has been in the public eye for the last little while has been JLU so it makes total sense to me. It looks like all those John Stewart repacks have had a different type of impact than we thought.

Wow, has this veared off-topic... Guess I'll help it continue on it's derailment... Went to see HP7 opening weekend and when the GL trailer finished I heard the kid behind me (sounded like 7 or 8 ) say to his dad "I have a toy of him except he's brown." I think that there's going to be a lot of confused kids next year...

Just wait until they find out there are thousands of Gl's out there haha.

In the new Toyfare, there is an article about Mattel's Young Justice line for 2011 and I am stoked! Here's the info:

12 4.25" figures coming to "go along" with JLU figures ... they come with a C&C Hall of Justice!!!

Also, a 6" line to go with the DCUC figures.

For the 4.25 line, they showed Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, & Icicle (Wave 1) & announced 2 packs of Batman/Robin , Aquaman/Aqualad, Flash/Kid Flash.

YJ will be an easy pass for me as I do not feel the figures shown will look good with JLU. It is a similar style, but different enough that I am put off. I much prefer the Timm style. I will pass on the 6 inch just as I passed on Pubic Enemies. I have not watched YJ yet, though was not impressed with that teaser.

What would be funnier is if they see it and ask why wasnt Hawkgirl or Vixen in the movie- And just get the look of who the hell is Carol Ferris ?...

This line is now my most eagerly awaited reveal for Toy Fair 2011.

Why?

Maybe its that every time I see the show I'm reminded of how much my son (now almost 17) loved the entire run of the YJ comic book. Maybe its that I like toys of what I am currently watching. Maybe its because figures of these characters have not been made in a while.

And the cast is pretty cool. 6 YJ regulars and teen guest stars (we've seen Speedy and we know Garth is coming). 16 member Justice League, giving props to many eras of the comic and cartoon JLAs (Captain Atom, Shazam, John Stewart) and new twists as well (Zatara). Appearances by heroes outside this continuities established League already (Guardian).

OK, the day is more like 3 weeks from now, but I expect to see all of the items already mentioned:

Flash and Kid Flash,
Aquaman and Aqualad,

And based upon this I see no reason not to expect the following at some point:

I also cannot wait to sit my son down in front of the computer during Toy Fair to show him all the reveals and try to figure out where our money is going this year.

Out of all the lines I collect (and in this case will be collecting), this is without a doubt my most anticipated from Toy Fair. I'll still pick up JLU here and there, but I won't be avidly pursuing them anymore. Young Justice pushes JLU into the background and itself into the fore of my collection. I haven't been this excited about a toyline that accompanies a show since the 80's. Back then you might as well not have a show, if there wasn't an awesome toyline to coincide with it. YJ gives me that type of feeling again.

That Hall of Justice better be friggin awesome.

Prepare for disappointment. It's not even a playset. Just a display backdrop, and significantly underscaled.

Can somebody please tell me who's sidekick Artemis is supposed to be?

I had assumed from her color scheme and original name (Arrowette) that she would be partnered with Green Arrow, but he has Speedy.

Then when her name was changed to Artemis I assumed she would be a WonderWoman sidekick, but she now appears to have WonderGirl
