I've got mine coming through the subscription

I wonder though, is it sitting there because no one really wanted him, or is it a bit of a "sour grapes" snubbing, or maybe some kind of combination of both?

Like opera or classical music, it takes a certain level of refinement to see the value of Aquaman's rogues gallery. I am happy to get him, but I would have preferred Mera, Tempest, or Aqualad.

Yeah, I kind of dig it, but like some of the figures shellhead pointed out. Would have been nice to see Aqualad or Mera in particular.

Got my Ocean Master figure today. It's a really nice figure and I'm glad to have another villain for Aquaman to battle against. I would have loved a Mera too but in addition to, not instead of, Ocean Master.

Mine arrived today as well. I haven't been this impressed with a figure in person in a long time.

I should also have mine between today and tomorrow, this is my most anticipated figure since Captain Marvel Jr. I originally had the DC Direct version but the arm fell off. That is one company who never got it's due with poor quality and cheap plastics.

Other than the paint scheme, this is the same figure from the History of the DCU line (DC Direct), so perhaps that & the apathy towards Mattel these days is why a sell out wasn't immediate (if it even has done so yet, IDK).

Also something new for DCIE starting with Ocean Master - When you get the figure there is a code on the back of the white outer mailer box for the download of a free digital comic staring Ocean Master (in this case it's New 52 Aquaman #14). You also get this on the upcoming Ra's Al Ghul and Batzarro figures (for difference comics staring each character).

I would have rather seen the goofy, more colorful costume personally...just think it looks better on the shelf.

No, it isn't. The articulation is different (and superior). The DCD figure is also in a slightly different scale. I own the original and while I loved the paint scheme, I hated just about everything else.

It is the same character, not the same figure.

I have the DC Direct one in the DCUC display, way in the back just because he looks so cool..but there is a definite size difference. Here's an article that shows some scale pics with other figures:

I got my figures in the mail today and I am impressed. This figure looks awesome in packaging. I like most prefer the other color scheme but I am happy with this one, just happy to have an ocean master before this line dies. If anyone is on the fence I don't think you should be, this is an impressive figure.

The happiness I have with this figure only makes my sadness for the cancellation worse. sigh**
