I own both and I put them side by side and they are they the same scale if you are looking at heads/arms. Krona has a really long cloak, but they are the same size. I guess that could be good if people who collect the MM line decide to get the Guardian 2-packs. As of right now, I don't see any way that packs 4-6 are gonna hit, unless they're already made and ready to go.

Thanks for that. Now that I know they're the same scale I'll keep an eye on the last 3. They started to appear on China, so I bet they'll be on US shelves soon.

My hometown Target did that as well so now I have seen this at two different Targets. If they make it to the next wave of clearance then I might pick these up.

They are on clearance in Oklahoma City as well. Not looking good for future figs. Guess I need to track down or order mask less Hal, Krona, Sinestro, and Isamot

Didn't ToyGuru just come out and say that GL product was selling extremely well?

He also said EVERYTHING would be out for purchase on May 1.

Do we really need to make a list?

Well, until now I already got:

1-Hal Jordan
2-Sinestro
3-G'Hu
4-Abin Sur
5-Tomar Re
6-Green Man
7-Rot Lop Fan
8-Isamot Kol
9-Naut Kei Loi
10-Krona
11-Maskless Hal Jordan

Yep, that one will be coming for sure.

On other hand, I don't know about the other 3 Guardians from the 4 inch 2-packs.

Just to be sure, I got one of them wich appeared on Ebay:

The following is a quote from the July 11th, 2011 issue of TIME Magazine:

on page 56...

'Despite withering reviews and lackluster ticket sales, Green Lantern represents a tidy profit for Mattel, which stands to earn $20 million in toy sales against $2.5 million for merchandising rights.'

Between ToyGuru's statement and this quote from TIME, I can't imagine any GL product being cancelled or withheld.

Actually, because of that quote I'm thinking we might be missing out on some of the tail enders after all.

Remember, Mattel makes its money based on sales to the retailers. If they banked that big, it means retailers placed big orders based on speculation of what the movie might turn out. But, as you walk down every aisle, you can find an abundance of everything GL. The figures don't move, some stores are already clearancing them out (cough, Target, cough), which means they could be sitting on heavy amounts of stock of the first few waves and are now going to either slow down or cancel existing late product entirely.

If Target, or Walmart, or any other brick n mortar retailer were posting quotes about how well GL was selling and making record profits for them, I would see the continuation as a certainty.

As it stands, there is room for some doubt.

I had no desire to get Green Man but then I found him on ebay for $19.99 with free shipping and I bit. I think that's a good price. Not sure. It's hard to gauge the demand and following for these.

My Target finally turned the switch to $11.19 for Movie Masters so I picked up Tomar Re. Even at that price, he doesn't feel worth it. But still, this line has me smitten. I like the figures more than the movie.

I'm glad Mattel has booming profits on GL merch but it seems like that's based on what the big box retailers initially ordered. And I think they over-ordered on the first wave and it just sits there all day. So they're not rushing to bring the newer stuff in and I think they'll eat the losses on stuff that won't sell is now on clearance.

The basics seem to be selling a little only because they're the lowest on the price range and moms and kids can get their GL fix cheap. At my Walmart, no one has even touched the $29.99 4-figure packs and the Helicopter pack. The battle shifters don't seem to be moving as well as the punching fist and stuff like that which is now on clearance. Based on my observation, Movie Masters don't seem to move unless they're on sale.

I'm going to wait until the end of the month...If Sinestro and Isamot and the rest of the gang don't start showing up, I'll have to buy online.

To this day, I don't understand the retailer mentality of over-ordering first waves of product. It's counterproductive. There should be a scaled back initial order followed by entirely new waves and refresher product. By the time Wave 1 sells through, Wave 2 and 3 should be there to replenish and restock.

Also, why does every retailer seem to order in a vacuum? Meaning, Walmart orders GL stuff in droves, as if they are the sole retail outlet for the line. Likewise, Target, TRU and Kmart for what they're worth do the same.

Can some of you 'in-the-know' gents shed some light on the subject?

Got Isamot via Amazon today. I think they did a pretty good job with him, although I could have used some more articulation in his hind legs. The arms, however, are great.

Anybody know if the Rock Guy's still coming?
