By doing research of photos available online I have determined that these 5 will be paired with Guardians in the Walmart 2 packs: Hal, Kilowog, Sinestro, Abin Sur, and Tomar Re. I still cannot confirm the 6th Lantern, and there are at least 3 or 4 candidates.

Said it before and I will say it now, These 3 & 3/4 " are total crap. They can't move, its that simple and in this day and age if there is virtually no articulation, what's the point. They are mini-statues.

Lack of articulation is noted, and lamented (see above). I'm gonna collect them anyway, 'cause I love the characters that much. And as mini statues, they're not half bad.

What would be really strange is if you owned any JLU figures, 'cause these actually have better articulation (ball-jointed shoulders).

Yeah.

BIG step backwards.

Matty's reasoning..."the collector line is the 6" figures. The 3 3/4" are for kids. Articulation doesn't matter to them and we wanted to keep the price point lower."

So much for learning from our mistakes, huh Matty?

Also, I thought the "Street Date" for these figures was May 1. (Yes, I know that toy lines don't generally have "street dates", but when they are tied into a "big summer blockbuster" they most certainly do. Plus Matty has said several times that these figures are set for a MAY 1 release [that specifically]). I wonder how some of these HEBs (what the hell is a HEB?) and TRUs are getting stock in and set up so far in advance?

you forgot to mention no female characters, as we've been told they just don't sell. Never mind that my son and his friends bought Baroness and Scarlet from the Hasbro GI Joe line - Matty knows best!

I smell another mismanaged line debacle....

How many females are there in the Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America movie lines?

Have they shown Arisia in any movie clips or stills? She's my son's favorite, because he thinks she looks like Link from Zelda.

I haven't even seen Katma yet. She succeeded Sinestro and he is still in the corps in this one so unlikely to see her, and Arisia came after Katma, so unlikely to see her either.

I know I might be in the minority but I'm really looking forward to getting these, more so than the Movie Masters line.

The sculpts look solid, and sure more articulation would've been great, but for me, the smaller scale, selection of characters and the inclusion of constructs and a ring (even if for kids) makes this line look awesome to me.

Black Widow doesn't count until she actually comes out. Same with Sif, I guess. 0 outta 3 is pretty bad, Meatloaf.

Magog got his on ebay from (presumably) Hong Kong.

The actual figures aren't out yet. Matty is saying 1st May for the release in the states, so BBTS will probably have them shortly after.

And now I shall start my mental prep for Matty's sale days - I'm wanting Green Man next month, but I've also decided to pick up Panthor (I don't collect MOTUC).

I've not had to go through the checkout from hell for so long...

Matty's actual comment was 'will be on store shelves BY May 1,' so it could be as much as 2 or 3 days before.

My sentiments exactly. It's a bit of a frustration, 'cause I feel like Mattel has us by the balls... We want these characters, in this scale, and done *well*. So they give us these characters, in this scale, and done pretty mediocre. If we buy them all up, do they sit in their board meetings and say, "See? The schmucks do't care about quality, articulation, yada yada yada. They'll buy them if we make them, just like those JLU collectors have for years!" Then we're stuck with 5 points of articulation because they can get away with it.

Is it simply a matter of Marvel having a larger fan base, and can move more product, so Hasbro can afford to go nuts with all the dedicate sculpts and heavy tooling on dozens of characters each year? I don't want to give Mattel a pass, but they sure seem to have taken their run with the DC license to about 60% of what the fans want from them. Maybe it's just not as valuable a license as we want it to be?
