Better for posing, for playing, for placing in vehicles and environments, etc. Hasbro has it going on - no doubt about it. And I'm still buying Green Lantern figures by the handfuls. LOL

My counter-argument: we'll always have those games. But would you have been content to stop with 8-bit? Progress, baby! Don't destroy my argument, I like my argument! LOL

You can't believe how detailed it is. The painting is just PERFECT. Cool articulations and bendy parts. Unbelievable! Beware my power! Yeah, but....um, where is the ring? CCC.

OK, OT now, but for the sake of argument...
Yeah, I would've been ok if video gaming stopped there in the 8-bit era. There is very little that comes out now that I HAVE to play. And when I do, it is for very, VERY brief sessions (a half an hour is a gruellingly long time at this point).
BUT,
I pop up a Pac-Man emulator, or find a Centipede machine at the local pizza shop, or plunk a quarter into Asteroids and I will literally play until my eyes bleed and they are forcibly removing my from the machine.
Those games are just MORE FUN.
As to articulation in action figures...
as with most of the other Art pieces I create and collect, I truly believe that in design, less is more. Clean, simple, straightforward, and sturdy will always win out over hyper-posability to me. anything between 5-10 POA is all I will ever need. Hell, I'll even go for less if the aesthetic is attractive enough (Action League and PVCs anyone?)

Go play Arkham Asylum and tell me you want to stop at 8-bit games.

My favorite game right now is Army Men on Gamecube. I have gone thru 3 cubes. CCC.

Ah... I see, the Green Lantern 4 inch Basics thread was folded into this one. Phew, at least we still have our DC infinite Heroes thread.
Ok, The movie figures are showing up in Indiana and Ohio. Where else?! Usually , I can always track the slow, arduous truck delivery from Ohio, Indiana to Illinois, then to Wisconsin, then to me.
