As far as I know that's new. If that size is right it does indeed seem to be JLU scale.

This looks great. These two prototypes look like they would fit in awesomely with JLU!

Has there been any "official" word from Matty on any GL Animated merchandise yet? I thought we would have heard something at NYCC ...

There was a WB press release that mentioned the line, but that's it for "official" announcements. At SDCC one of the staff introduced himself by saying that he was on the GLA line but that's as "official" as it's gotten from Mattel's end. If the show isn't starting a regular schedule until spring the toys won't hit until August or so so there's not much need to announce before Toy Fair '12.

If I worked for Mattel, I would have the line ready to go for the Spring. You know... before the show starts, or at the very least... before it goes into reruns. Let's face it, it's not like Green Lantern's "target audience" has a long attention span! So they better strike, while the striking is good. Plus, Kilowog's 4.5 scale pretty much confirms that Hal Jordan will be compatible with JLU (They are roughly the same size in the show). Which means that Mattel already has both tooling and unproduced characters (Guy Gardner, Mongul) at their disposal. Pilot episode of Green Lantern: The Animated Series was met with thunderous Audience Approval

I've finally received the Zilius Zox prototype in the mail. It is definitely NOT the Action League figure. He's about 2.5 inches tall/wide/deep. He looks GREAT standing next to a JLU John Stewart.
When I get home tonight, I'll post some pics of him on his own, next to some JLU types and next to his Action League doppleganger.

I think the delay may have more to do with retailers wanting to know that the show is doing well before committing space to it, believe that's why we never got the LoSH figures.
As for Mongul, Guy and any potential others, I'd think it would have more to do with if they actually appear on the show and the CG models match the existing tooling and if WBCP will allow them into the line. I think the best way that they can get us those figures is for Mattel to bite the bullet and commit to making them available in a case of 6 3-packs and then just be done with the line.

Hey, if they could do it for Hanna-Barbera's Apache Chief... why not Mongul? Anyways, just sayin' that I like this approach for Mongul. Mainly because they still need to fix his skin color. As far as Toyman, Vandal Savage, Static and the rest of the gang goes, I don't mind getting them in 3-pack assortments. That way, I can buy multiple Toymans and Blue Beetles.

I talked to ToyGuru at NYCC and he seemed shocked that Mongul was the wrong color and should have actually been yellow instead of pink.

[quote="red Ricky"]Hey, if they could do it for Hanna-Barbera's Apache Chief... why not Mongul? Hell, they released a (weirdly designed) Mongul figure in the Superman Returns movie action figure line. http://gofigureactionfigures.com/media/mongul-sr.jpg

That figure almost looks like it should be Mongul's daughter, not Mongul.
Someone told me it was based on the design from the movie's Video Game which, if true, would explain the awful-ness of that figure.
