Got my rods in the mail, and i have plenty of clear star wars stands. Just gotta get the wife to run in Walgreen for the clear hair bands and im set!

I can vouch for using the original DC stands. Oh and elmeaux, thanks! This idea was truely genius and i followed your recipe exactly! The clear hair ties work great and i bought 1/8 " clear rods off the internet. I used a drill with a 1/8" bit and some glue and bam, a bunch of fine quality JLU stands for less than $15! I used both original JLU stands and Star Wars clear stands as bases.

Oh, you may want to use hot glue instead of crazy glue to glue in the rods. Sometimes the crazy glue smeared on the bottom and I got a little bit of white cloudyness.

Just made a bunch more stands today. If you are carefull crazy glue works great to keep the rods nice and tight. If you are too liberal with the amount of glue it will try up all over the bottom and cause a lot of ghosting. And since i created the first batch of stands i've had zero problems with my figures falling, banding or warping. Again, this idea was truely genius and i'm so glad it was shared!
