I always felt that the final wave or two of the original MOTU was stretching it a bit with characters... There was a mix, some good, some bad... and it's only my opinion...
I can say that I'm always open to changing my mind. I used to think Aztek and Nemesis were wasted slots in JLU until I got to know more about them. I'll check into Clamp Champ and Rio Blast and see if I get anything that changes my mind...

If the 4H do what they've been doing, and stay as close to the vintage version as possible, then I don't want anything to do with Rio Blast. If he looks like some of the concept art and customs I've seen (or the NECA version), then I'd be up for it 100%. Yes. Hell no As for Clamp Champ, if he turned out looking like this custom, I'm sure we wouldn't get too many complaints: Who am I kidding? This is MOTUC we're talking about. People will complain no matter what.

I have some new images to share! I made some collage photos to show potential parts re-use and Illumina's creator updated his MOTUC Illumina concept the next day based upon the newly available MOTUC parts. So, here are all the pics! Here's the sketch turnaround image by Illumina's creator to see all the details of Illumina's top, skirt and tiara:

Let's be smart about this... I'm with everyone here that she would make an amazing 2 pack with her kitty. But I don't want this taking one of our mnthly slots. Sorceress is the traveling con exclusive next year. But Illumina is too obscure for Comic Con.
Why don't we petition for this to be the POWER CON 2012 exclusive. It would be perfect for that. A true fan demanded character, but not something the masses would clammour for. And perhaps there minimal tooling enough for the (hopefully larger) Power Con turnout to make it worth Mattels while.
Thoughts?

Thoughts? I like and dislike that idea. I like it because it's a more probable way to get this awesome looking character out there. I dislike it, because it's a much, much smaller con than SDCC, and the likelihood of me being able to get someone to get it for me (at cost) is a lot smaller.

They already announced that the Temple of Darkness Goddess would be available as the PowerCon 2012.

I wouldn't mind an Illumina, but not before I get the rest of the Snake-men, Horde, and most of the POP ladies.

I know that there was some comment made at PowerCon about needing 5,000 people to make her happen, can anyone explain what was meant or implied by that? (and put me down for the cat, too!) Thoughts? I would think that it's too late now to get something like this into next year's budget. Thinking that 2013 would be the earliest we could see her right now. Personally, I think she'd make a great out-of-sub release.

Personally, I think she'd make a great out-of-sub release. TG said if we could get 5000 people to "want" her, he would see about moving her up, which really ticked off a lot of MOTUC fans, b/c there are not many figures you can find 5000 people that want them. Im willing to bet you couldnt find 5000 people that wanted Demo Man(mind you I do want him). I wish TG would have just said his normal, "we have the rights to her, but we cant comment past blah blah figure" he would have a lot less pissed off MOUTC fans. I will not cry if she isnt made, but I do really think she would look great with her cat on my shelf.

Well, it turns out there will be a MOTUC Fan Choice Poll! Mattel chooses 6 characters, He-Man.org chooses 1 character and He-Man.de chooses 1 character. The ballot of 8 characters gets to be voted on by 2013 MOTUC subscribers via a special code you get upon subscribing. The character that wins will be made in late 2013! The poll is specifically for the more obscure, not well known characters. This should be a fun event and it's something Illumina could be part of. Toyguru mentioned her by name at NYCC when naming off some characters that could be a part of this!

I'm a big fan and friend of Emiliano's , but I could honestly care less about this character.
