. . . what other mega-sets (at least 8 characters) make sense?
And yes, "SOLD OUT" on Matty doesn't necessarily mean the same thing as it does everywhere else, but still, that's MOTUC quick. So what could be done?
Another Legion pack, certainly. They could "cheat" and have Triplicate Girl (or Duo Damsel), along with people like Mon-el, Dawnstar, Phantom Girl, Supergirl, Sun Boy, Shadow Lass, Blok (CnC?), and a couple Fatal Five members like Emerald Empress and Persuader.
A 90's Justice League pack, perhaps? Hook-hand Aquaman, Kyle GL, Wally Flash, Connor Green Arrow, Aztek, Zauriel, Huntress, and Oracle. THAT would be a hell of a set.
What I'd REALLY like, however, is a Titans set. Kind of a then and now set:
Speedy Aqualad and/or Tempest Wonder Girl (both Donna and Cassie) Ravage Jericho A proper Starfire Red Robin Terra
They could put 'em in a cool T-shaped box like Titans Tower.

That would be TOO GOOD of a set. Why? Because Kyle and Wally could each helm a retail wave. But then again, so could the version of Superboy they put in the LSH set.

I'd crap my pants, but Zauriel, Aquaman, and Oracle would require way too much new tooling. What made this pack work was its relative small extra tooling. Half of the figures are new heads on repainted bucks. That's why another Legion pack is probably the most likely. They almost all wear simple, skintight costumes that can be created with deco only and a few extra bells and whistles here and there. And the packaging is already made; they'd just have to change the bios. In fact, I bet they already have another set mapped out.

I'd buy any of those packs you suggested Bill. In a heartbeat. But I have to agree with Mo, about the extensive tooling these would require. It makes something like the JLA pack nigh impossible.

Never been a huge Legion fan, but I'm glad it sold well. I would buy both the 90's JLA and Titans sets you designed in a heartbeat.

How about a JSA set
Cyclone Liberty Belle Mister Terrific Red Tornado Classic Blue Supes Classic Wonder Woman Damage Thunderbolt and whichever master you choose Classic Hawkgirl Tomcat Judo Master
Wow, I really had to start reaching to come up with 12. I guess the JSA has gotten some good treatment.

Only way I'd buy these if they give us DCU subscribers a guaranteed offer to buy as many as we have subs ( I happen to have bought two to show my support), and could not get to buy the LOSH today.
If this is a sign of things to come, I'm out. A collector friendly environment would follow my suggestion. This would still allow others (and subscribers ) to try and buy as many as they want when the sale is opened to the general public. But suscribers should be given a "fast pass".

More LOSH for me please. I prefer that Mattel didn't start another mega team pack that is not going to see a complete line-up (or at least close to one). Besides, doing another LOSH set would allow them to "re-use" the same packaging - which might mean less production cost.

I guess you're out then because they won't do this. MOTUC subscribers have been asking for this opportunity on non sub items since it started.

If Mattel tries to tie the (hopefully) next 12-pack into the sub somehow, they risk pissing off collectors who have already resisted efforts to be 'nudged' into subscribing.
Mattel seems to have hit upon a good formula with the Legion pack; I think they should simply stick with it. Another Legion 12-pack, in the same packaging and with characters from the same Cockrum/Grell/early Giffen era would be the best way to proceed. As long as Legionnaires are selling, why stop?

So I'll say: Mister Terrific (classic) Huntress (Earth 2) Superman (Earth 2) Wonder Woman (Earth 2) Robin (Earth 2) Star Spangled Kid Johnny Thunder Jakeem Thunder (with Thunderbolt) Sand Hourman (Rick Tyler) Dr. Mid-Nite (Pieter Cross) Liberty Belle (I don't want her, but I guess since everyone else seems to like her she can get shoved in )

Huntress will be in the sub I think.

I am FLOORED that this sold out so quickly! The Legion is awesome, and the pack reflected their best costumes for the most part. But wow!
