Mattel has shown that they can pull of some nice surprises this past year (like the Batmite and the Hawkman swappable head). I think there's a hope and a prayer that Plasticman will come with attachments and maybe Larfleeze will come with Glomulus or something.

Also, I wonder if there is any chance they can make Batman Beyond a legitimate swappable head figure in this DC Allstar release? Unlike the wave 4 figure where it was variant figure. That'd be cool and it would make the price worth it. I noticed at BBTS, that these are at the $18.99 price which is a bit intimidating when you're not getting a C+C piece.

I suppose they can't pack in goodies with every character, but at $18.99, Mattel should do something if they want the casual shopper to buy these and I don't mean a mini-poster. Put in a display stand, a comic book, or a free digital download. Something!

Because I don't think the base is worth 6 bucks. I know it's different per person, but the base has zero value for me.

I buy the action figure for the action figure. If it comes with stuff, great. But if that stuff is ultimately the excuse as to why a toy is 20-24 instead of 12-16, then it just isn't worth it for me.

How can you not trust it if the offer was at the official Mattel Toy Store? (Like Hasbro Toy Shop)

The facebook group had a post which linked you to the deal in the Mattel shop. The original link here on AFi pointed to that facebook post.

CBR has a look at wave 2 of DC All-Stars. Looks like the figures are DCnU Superman, DCnU Flash, Red Robin, and black outfit Supergirl (repaint of the DCSH blue modern Supergirl).

Thanks for the link BC. While it's not a WOW assortment, I still like it better than the first one. The only one I'm on the fence about is Red Robin. I think he should have been on one of the slimmer bucks. I honestly don't know a whole bunch about the character, aside from the one trade I read. I'm sure there'll be PLENTY of bitching about the choices in the not too distant future.

Ok this wave is more my style. Wish this was wave 1, figures look great.

The slimmer buck isn't really appropriate for the Kingdome Come version. That figure (prototype) represents a middle-aged Dick and not Tim in his early twenties.

So DCnU Barry Allen's lightning bolt belt comes to a point in the middle, like Wally West's belt always did? The figure looks incredible, but it looks more like the Wally West most of us have been waiting for than Barry, who traditionally had the horizontal lightning bolt belt.

1/2 step closer to Wally. Still seems to have the same old Barry Allen headsculpt with some added crap on his cowl.

Looks like another 3 out of 4 wave for me.

Maybe only a 2 out of 4 considering how "wrong" Supes looks missing his undies...
