Quote: DCClassics.Com: Any forward progress on the Club IE Thom Kallor Starman receiving a second head that would make the figure a little more compatible with the Legion 12pk?
Starman will be receiving 2 heads, both a masked head and an unmasked head with a beard.
AWESOME! That's exactly why I bought a 2nd one!

If all else fails, I would love to see Mattel use the proof of purchase / mail order idea to get the remaining JLU out. (from pendragonspost)

(from pendragonspost) I just don't think that idea would go over very well. It's a little late in the game to be asking people to start saving JLU proof of purchase seals. Mint on card collectors probably won't like it either since they'd have to cut up the packages.

Yeah, if the line is only available on MattyCollector (and with this liquidation sale they're doing, the product won't be available much longer), it's asking a lot to have collectors accumulate proofs of purchase. You'd have to resort to eBay to get them if you haven't saved the cards from your previous purchases, and I'm sure the number of collectors who would do that would be a fraction of the number they have paying cash for the items on Matty.

The POP idea is good for those who open and keep their JLU figures and cardbacks (like myself, I actually have been collecting cardbacks since I first started buying action figures back in the days of Kenner's BTAS, or Toybiz' Marvel stuff.) So again that POP idea is good if you have the cardbacks, but I am sure many people do not have OCD like me, so they probably don't have them anymore D.

AWESOME! That's exactly why I bought a 2nd one! How is this not a bigger deal right now? They just gave us a version for the LOSH and one for the JSA. I'm pumped not only for this figure, but the for the possibilities for other figures.

Yes, Joel, I agree. It is awesome news. I only hope that they continue to make a trend of "value adding" items in package like alternate heads, accessories, bases, etc. if the price point won't be changing at retail. Retail is really where they will need to do things like this to keep consumers happy.

I still have my original Kenner Super Powers "Proof of Purchase" cutouts from 1984!!! You know... in case Kenner comes back and decides to offer a free Mail-Away Exclusive Figure (along with their Fourth Wave of Super Powers).

Considering the way shis hates GB2 no Vigo is going to be okay... it's not just that. it's that there are only FOUR figures coming for the Ghostbusters line next year, and there's a possibility that HALF of them may be the same character, and at that, a character that is decidedly unpopular among a decent percentage of ghostbuster fans. seriously. it's like if half the club infinite earths figures were skittles lantern nightwing variants. i wouldn't even want the 4th figure next year to be unpossessed dana, and that's a figure i WANT. I also don't want it to be a different version of the rookie. see where I'm going there? I don't like Ghostbusters 2, but I'd rather the 4th figure be JUST oscar than a Vigo variant.

I had started asking for a POP offer way back when Infinite Heroes got launched and we were told to save our points on those.
I was told repeatedly that Mattel could NOT offer a mail away offer for a figure for "logistic reasons".
I, and others, pointed to the past offerings from Kenner for both Super Powers and Star Wars, as well as a then current offering from both Star Wars and GI Joe (if I recall correctly).
Scott agreed it was a good idea and "something we will look into" but it always came back to "logistical reasons" why it wouldn't happen.
I don't care how much chatter it generates now, Mattel isn't going to do it. Even though it is always a fun idea and generally results in a temporary uptick of sales (especially from MOC collectors who now must buy extras to cut up), helps clear out dead stock in some instances, and keeps the audience excited for a brand/line.
