It's been years since I've actively collected JLU and I'm shocked to see that I might have a figure worth something. How much does an out of package Volcana go for these days? There was only one version of the character released, right? Any information appreciated.

There are two different versions:

1. Came from a 3-pack that was released here in the US.
2. Came from a Chinese eBay seller and it was never actually released here in the US.

I'm not sure how much they're going for. I guess whatever someone is willing to pay for one.

The only true value is what someone else is willing to pay. For that, go to eBay and do a search on the item using the "completed auctions" checkbox.

It's worth about 3 dollars so I'll buy it from you.

I don't need it , but some here could really use her, so please try and sell it here and help out your friends, rather than going to ebay.

I've tried in the past to give this forum as many as I could find for as low as I could find them. 8)

I think the mods were leary of this thread as it looks like a "for sale" thread that is by-passing our forum rules.

You are new, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. The answer above is correct there were 2 releases. One was the official release from Mattel. That one had no eyebrows on the face.

Then Mattel made a new run that never ended up being released through official channels, but quite a few of them showed up on ebay. That figure did have eyebrows. Some of them popped up with red translucent hair.

As for value, that varies wildly. It's "worth" what ever someone is willing to pay for it. Your best bet is to do a search of completed ebay auctions.

thanks for the open mind, julius. i'll be more thoughtful with my posts in the future. it wasn't my intent to bait anyone or slyly declare a sale. i checked ebay and wikipedia both for information before posting here but came up lacking. now that i know about the completed auctions search option, i'll check ebay again. i am not so much new on these boards as i am an infrequent poster/lurker. i know the board rules and respect them.

i appreciate the advice and information, everyone. thank you. i dread digging my collection out of storage to verify that i do indeed own the fig in question but i'll certainly look into the board-sanctioned trade and swap options should it be the case.

An-Gel Sakura, thanks for the advice and info when the thread was in quarantine. i'll keep my eyes peeled for the figures you're looking for. i stopped collecting the line before your wants were released. good luck tho!

Thank you very much. The others I want should be handled in PMs though.

Please keep the AFi swap meet in mind though if you ever decide to part with Volcana. I'm sure we still got a few here who would love one.
We all try to look out for one another here and I know a few here who would love to give her a good home.

Welcome aboard callsign_morlock.

Personally, I have a feeling that Mattel just might be re-releasing Volcana(and other seen but not produced figures) in 2012. Pure hopeful speculation on my part, based on Mattel's recent comment about a JLU announcement for 2012 coming up.

Welcome Callsign! An-Gel is quite right about the sense of community here - in fact, An-Gel helped me get quite a few figures that I was missing for my collection.

Volcana's one of the ones that I'd been excited about when she was announced...but at the time, I wasn't collecting the line. Mattel had made it practically impossible to do so without going to Ebay, so I was pretty burned-out.

Good luck digging her out and post pictures when you do! She's a cool-looking gal!
