Wow, great sale for DC fans! Legion 12-pack is back, JLU convention 3-packs (told you guys 12-15 for those) and wave 19 which hasn't been easy to find at retail.

I'm glad that they're putting all this great stuff up, but the timing couldn't be worse for me. Less than 2 weeks before Christmas... With all the cyber monday sales, the DC sale at Target, and the great sales that Amazon's been having, there just isn't any money left for the Matty sale this time around. Sigh.

I'm glad someone already picked up the convention packs for me. Terrible timing with Christmas - my budget would be shot.

But good news for those who have been wondering. And GREAT news for anyone who waited on the Legion pack or couldn't afford it the first time.

I would much rather these items had been offered POST CHRISTMAS so I could've had a financial shot in hell of getting the LSH set.

oh well, tis not meant to be.

Glad they are getting this all back up though, great news for those still missing figures.

I have the JLU 3 packs so I can skip this sale.

BUT I want to point out the happy news this brings: if the 3 packs are on sale in December 2011 then Mattel still has some happy JLU news to announce in 2012. Fingers crossed for the Toyman / Blue Beetle / Future Static / Mongul (etc) 3 packs...

We already knew that wasn't the JLU news.

And I have the 3-packs too but I'll be buying another set with this sale. Glad I got the Legion the first time around because it would be tough to squeeze that in right now.

For anyone that does not have the convention 3 packs I wanted to point out that all the new figures in them are amazing, some of the best JLU figures so far, even if they are some of the lamest characters they've ever made.

I'm glad I get a second chance to pick up the LOSH set. I gotta say, Mattel handled the "sell-out" of the sets well the first time around. It enhanced demand, and a lot of people who were on the fence now want to get one.

I'm considering getting the Retro Action Sinestro as well. I have all the others, and the completist in me wants to finish the collection, but do I really need a second Sinestro? I already have the figure in its blue uniform. It's too bad the line fizzled. I'd much rather have, say, Robin or the Joker than a second Sinestro.

As someone who was on the fence big time with the LOSH, I can say it's absolutely worth it. I snuck in and grabbed one of the last ones before the sell out and it's a fantastic set. So good that it's almost worth having two so you can keep one MOC.

What does the "burst" mean?

•DCU Legion of Super Heroes 12 Pack (reissue with burst*)

from the bottom of the article.
* A small percentage of customers will receive product from the first run and the package will not contain the burst. This is random and we can’t control which package will be received.

It'll be like the 2nd (and subsequent) runs of MOTUC figures.

They get a "burst" sticker on the package that differentiates it from a 1st run figure.

Mostly, its something for the MOC collectors as there are no indications of "print run" on the figures themselves.

Not sure what it will look like or what exactly it will say, but that's the basics for you.
