Are you interested in the last JLU figures
Yes. $50 a 3-pack is worth it to me to finish off the line and be complete. 69%  69%  [ 173 ]
Maybe. I'll do what I did with the rest of the line and pick and choose the ones that I want. 8%  8%  [ 20 ]
Nope. $50 for a 3-pack of 4" figures (with repacked figures I already have) is just too rich for my blood. 16%  16%  [ 39 ]
GAH! I want these so much but $50? I guess I could donate plasma or sell a kidney on ebay. 4%  4%  [ 10 ]
What? They are still making JLU figures? 3%  3%  [ 8 ]

The JLU prices were already at my breaking point - this is way past my breaking point. I can't justify to myself paying that much for 4" 5 POA figures.

I'm in too. I really want some of these characters and don't mind paying more on the final packs.

I voted no. If it was $50 for two three packs I would be in. I can't justify that much for a 3-pack when I have family and other responsibilities. I'm about to pay $60 (plus S&H) for 9 figures tomorrow, i guess that will be my last hurrah for JLU. :(

What is the reason the configuration can't change? Is it because they developed the artwork for the card? That seems to be the only thing that would make a difference in execution.

At $50, I really rather them consolidate the new figures and move out the standard anchors (Batman, Superman) which dilute the value of these packs geared to us hard core collectors.
Or at least replace one of them with Volcana or Atomic Skull.

$300 total is really a lot of money, with 7 of the figures (which would make up more than 2 of the 6 3-packs) unwanted since I already have them.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but at this point it sounds almost like extortion. They now want fifty dollars for a three-pack--that could have as many as two previously produced characters--for figures that are plagued with flimsy plastic, shoddy paint, and the common inability to stand? I love this line, I love this scale, but come on, I could get infinitely better made and better designed Super Powers or even a custom for that price.

I'm not judging anyone who has already impulsively voted "YES!" to this idea (well okay, maybe a little judging), but honestly, fifty-nine bucks after shipping sounds reasonable? We all just paid a little more than that for twice as many figures...all of which were new. Wasn't the game plan suppposed to be that if these all did well then Mattel would find some way to make the other figures work? It sounds like none of them did well, yet Mattel is still being gracious enough to sell these last packs at an obscene price.

I cannot help but think that this was their strategy all along. Remember, they're always the ones who throw out the "loud but numerous" and "passionate fans" lines at us. It feels very much like they were baiting us the whole time, ticking the price up little by little each time. "You want this one new character? Well then, you have to buy him for $20." "You want this one new character? Well then, you have to buy two of the same at $25." "You want this one new character? Well then, you have to buy three figures at $50, one or two of which we already sold you." That's over twice as much as the very three-packs they're offering for sale tomorrow...and it just baffles me that so many people are willing to play ball without giving it a second thought.

Things are allowed to end, gang.

I voted no. I am not willing to pay $50 for a three pack that has Guy Gardner and two repacks. That is unreasonable. 3 packs that have all new characters I would consider, but if this is their offer, then I am done with JLU. That is just too expensive.

I also want Volcana in there being you promised a re-issue of her. So Put Mongul, Volcana and Toyman in a pack and you have a deal Mattel. No more Superman's or Batman's please. If they are going to cost this much then you should sure as hell cater to us that are STILL buying. I'm kind of glad all the lines I deal with this company are coming to an end. Just have to deal with them for MOTUC after 2012.

At this point, I would be amazed if that line even continued for more than 2 years.

Just so we are clear- this is the ONLY way we will get these. There will be NO reshuffling of figures, swapping out, combining, etc.

I'll wager IF they do these they will be a REALLY limited run. Smaller than anything we've seen from JLU so far. Yes. It's expensive. But a much lower production run means a much higher per unit cost.

I imagine these will be the key pieces in the line down the road. Like the Euro-Secret Wars figures or vintage Yakface.

These won't be worth it to every JLU fan. I get that. I know Mattel gets that. But they are trying to do right by the folks that stuck with the line, and really want those last figures. It's unprecedented for a toy line to do this.

I'm in. I want to finish out the line.

I'm In. I have been a quiet but steady purchaser. I want to finish this thing and my daughter would sell a kidney (granted it would be mine, not hers) to get Toyman.

OK, I already voted and I've already commented earlier but this just came to me and maybe it will help.

I think we all (for financial reasons) want them to spread these packs out throughout the year instead of just dumping them on us all at once. So ... can we make it a sub? Those of us that are in with a Sub are then COMMITTED to buy each pack as it is released and Matty knows it can count on that money. Win-Win for both sides as it gets Matty its guarantee and it gets the target audience a guarantee of the figures not selling out while they are at work or unable to get to a computer on sale day.

Again, I'm already on record as "In", but I think making these a separate Sub would just be the best way to go for all involved.

I'd love a sub for these remaining packs and I'd buy two of those subs. Knowing that I could get them every time without worrying about a sell out while I'm at work would be fantastic.
