I just bought 2 BTAS Batmobiles from the Mattel 1:50 scale line. Both have differnt color rims one is green the other is silver is this a variant ? Just wondering I know they had the bullet hole version but Ihave never seen the green rims. Any help would be awesome I know someone on this board had a sick collection of this things. I am just hooked at this point !

The sick collection might be me, as I have them all and then some.



As to the question, the pair of BTAS Batmobiles that I have both have BLACK wheels.







My "Bullet Hole" version is boxed up and not on display, but I don’t recall what color the wheels are.



I got mine when they were first released, perhaps later versions had different color rims? Silver maybe, but green?

You were the man with the awesome collection. And the rims are like a mettallic green, it looks like a Greenlight Green Machine in all honesty. I will try to post some pics at some point. I will try to post pics sometime soon.

I did find what appears to be a green wheels BTAS Batmobile and it also says it’s a limited edition and “long fins”. Does that mean the regular ones were short fins? I did not see any with gray or silver wheels.

I never heard of limited edition in the 1:50 line other than the SDCC boxed set.

Thats it ! Thats what one of mine looks like the other has silver rims. Cant see any longer fins but both mine are still in the package. Also what SDCC box set ??

There were two SDCC Box sets.

In 2008 it was a 3 piece set with 1966 Batmobile, Batcycle and Batgirl Cycle, which was exclusive to the set, while the Batmobile and Batcycle were straight rereleases. I added a photo of it to the group above.

In 2009 it was only two pieces The Dark Knight Batmobile and The Dark Knight Bat-Pod with a Batman figure on it. The regular release The Dark Knight Bat-Pod did not have a figure on it. The Dark Knight Batmobile has gold with black trim rear wheels while the regular release was all gold rear wheels, they are all pictured together.

I two of each so I could easily display all sides of the Batmobiles.
