So now I'm playing the "which Matty do I believe" Game!!! a- Do I believe the Matty that tells me that the Convention 3-Packs are Almost Gone; and that I should rush to their website if I wish to buy extras before it's too late?
b- Or do I believe the Matty that tells me that the 3-Packs barely sell half of the MOQ needed to keep the line alive. And because of this, I'll have to pay $50 dollars for privilege of owning the unreleased 3-packs. Decisions, decisions, decisions. Surely both scenarios can't be true.

Not even Lobo sold out. He's been available at the Mattel company store most of 2011.
No JLU product has ever sold out on Matty. It's just been rotated out.

Ah, Mattel!!! What a savy bunch. Hey, you guys remember that day when Lobo was rotated out in four hours and fifteen minutes?Oh, how naive we were!!! At least it's good to know that I don't have to rush out to buy anything. By the way, if anyone decides to visit the Mattel Store, please remember to grab me one of those unsold JLU Gigantas from a couple of years back. Pretty please with sugar on top? Thanks!

No JLU product has ever sold out on Matty. It's just been rotated out. Exactly, the convention exclusives sold out here and there but that is expected. JLU just preformed bad on Matty as much as we wanted it to succeed.

Obviously something succeeded if we are seeing the final 6 3 packs. Something must of done well to give management that push to keep going!

It wasnt so much of management "pushing" to keep it going, it was more of a new managment team to sell the idea too and when TG and the team did sell it, Management pretty much said, finish it up with all the figures we have tooled up, so it will be done and closed. Almost sounds like people at Mattel are just freakin tired of hearing about these last JLU figures lol

No JLU product has ever sold out on Matty. It's just been rotated out. What's at the Mattel store is probably they overstock they held onto for returns, QC issues, etc. But at the same time, almost every single item that has ever sold out on Matty has reappeared in some capacity. It's just customer service stock. But for JLU, Sold Out doesn't necessarily mean success. If they are making small runs that don't show profit, that doesn't equal success. That equals recovering costs for tooling. Also, our definition of success is probably different than theirs.

But luckily right now I have no extra money so I will get to wait to do that, lol. D.

Yeah back when they were actually hitting, but I passed on the Hero one and bought the Villain pack, I ended up selling half of the characters as I only wanted a few of them. Those are the 6-packs you are talking about right, or are you talking about the Thanagar/Eclipso packs? If so, I found those as well, but only bought the Thanagar pack for Shayera, (she was way too awesome looking to pass on. ) D.
