I have struck out at K-Mart and B&N. I have one K-Mart left to check, but I am positive they will still have a Batman, a Bane and an Alfred on the little endcap housing the Batman movie toys. Too bad too, because the K-Mart I checked this morning had them on sale for $11.99, as opposed to the other K-Marts $12.99 sale price. And I really wanted at least one more at the sale price, although I would have grabbed Catwoman at =BN=.
She and the rest will turn up eventually, but I won't open any until I at least get Catwoman. I will be mad if I end up like the Young Justice collectors with a partially built CnC piece.

So are these figures still on sale? My local K-Mart had Batman, Alfred, and Bane but no sale signs. They were marked $15.99.

Can someone who has the shirtless Bane post a pic of him side by side with the DCUC wave 20 Atom? I'm wondering if his upper body on Sinestro V1 legs would be good for making a custom Atom that is actually the right height.
Thanks,
E8B

Looks like the Blake figure is starting to show up on eBay. Anybody seen him in the wild yet? Let us know when you get him, Van Statten

Nice to see Ra's, even if he is just a guy in a suit. Looking forward to seeing pics of the gang (and the signal) all together.

That Ra's looks sweet.
Man, I hope BBTS doesn't cancel my preorder for him and Blake like they did Catwoman.

Love this review of DKR from the Hollywood Reporter:
“Big-time Hollywood filmmaking at its most massively accomplished, this last installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy makes everything in the rival Marvel universe look thoroughly silly and childish.”
Maybe DC movies don't have legions of 5 year old fans as the Marvel movies do, but I am so happy Warners is setting this tone for Batman...and hopefully Superman and Justice League as well. Now bring on more Movie Masters!

I really like the Dark Knight movies.
However, they're "serious" and "realistic" in such a way that makes me very glad that all super-hero movies AREN'T. The idea that The Man of Steel might be "dark" like the Batman movies fills me with dread.
Iron Man is light-hearted and funny at times, and is super-fun to watch. There's nothing wrong with that.

Ditto.
I'll take Marvel over the Bat Trilogy, with the exception of Dark Knight. That movie was awesome. Only Avengers surpasses it IMHO.
There's room for both universes. Hopefully, Marvel's recent success will get DC off its butt. I'm tried of endless Bats/Supes. Give me Justice League, Teen Titans, and of course Aquaman!
(just make 'em better than GL)

I don't think "dark" is what they are going for with Man of Steel. They just aren't dumbing things down and are more focused on creating a compelling story.
All of the Nolan Batman movies have some really funny moments in them as well, but they were not just explosions with a hastily written story (like Iron Man 2). I do have high hopes for the Fantastic Four reboot...they snapped up the guy that directed Chronicle. I'm all for light hearted movies, just well written ones semi-grounded in reality.
I love Marvel characters too but I don't want them to go the Michael Bay route.

I don't see any of the Avengers-verse movies as being "dumbed down," personally.

Me, neither.
Except maybe Captain America. But that was intentional.
