I love it! The thing is huge. A bit bigger than I expected. It also sits well atop the Ghostbusters Firehouse.

I had found Batman and Bane at Target the other day and stopped in at TRU and picked up an Alfred. The manager pulled it from the back for me and said that that was the only Alfred they got in. I think Alfred is definitely going to be hard to find. At most only being packed one per case in some assortments and not even in others. It doesn't look like Target ordered any of the Alfred cases so Walmart, Toys R Us, and possibly Kmart may be the only options.

That's nice.
Let's make a CnC with one of the pieces shortpacked and somewhat of a chase. That'll endear us to the already frustrated fans...
Maybe I will just forego buying these figures and just get one off eBay in a few months time...

And an important piece while you're at it!

Having never purchased any Nolan figures, this line was going to get zero attention from me. But then y'all had to say there was a super cool Bat-signal base! Honestly, I won't be collecting it, especially since it uses the sharper Nolan Bat logo and won't light up...and costs 120 bucks...but the base and the detailing is really nice... Quote: I love it! The thing is huge. A bit bigger than I expected. It also sits well atop the Ghostbusters Firehouse. Oh come on - why'd you have to go and say a thing like that?? Stop tempting me! Please don't post pictures with JLU figures, please don't post pictures with JLU figures...

Well DisneyBoy you're in luck... I don't collect JLU but I'm sure someone else would love to take the pics when they have it assembled. It does light up, the end section will something which projects light into the whole spotlight because Alfred's section has part of the button mechanism and it is called a Projecting Bat Signal, implying it will hopefully light up!

Zim wrote: IMHO, I dont' get it??? Why is everyone so into these figures they are not worth it, nor cool, especially alfred. I think it is just hype/buzz, toy addiction and "me too" syndrome and the need to get the short packed. Mattel could short pack a turd, stamp it with a batman logo and everyone will covet and hunt it. I'd later see it on ebay for $120 having been bought, bragged and a little laughed about on various forums. Mattel is learning a lot from this.
Alfred fig:
A really bad sculpt of an old Michael Caine that looks nothing like him. I think they are reusing the body from Harvey Dent (just guessing). Why would anyone want this fig except for the bat signal piece? I bet he was short packed on purpose to prevent clogging and now he is coveted. Seriously? May be if they gave him a traditional butler's uniform, a tutu or even a tea set then may be, just may be....nah, still an old white guy in a suit.
Yep, I was in Toys R Us yesterday and they were stocking the shelves right as I got there. They had one Alfred and I compared him to the Harveys they had left. Exact same body, hands, everything. Just a different color and head. So far none of this stuff has grabbed me yet.

For myself I'm very selective about Movie figures. I have a Joker, Harvey Dent and James Gordon from the previous movies and two more Harvey Dent bodies for a Luthor and Bruce Wayne custom job. So I bought a prototype suit for Wayne's head. I have a Hector Hammond and five Krona's from Green Lantern. I would never have touched these figures if not for the Bat Signal that's my attraction. However the figures are better than expected, I thought 'Burlington Coat Factory' Bane would be lame but he's not a bad figure. Alfred is a letdown on his likeness and Catomwan is the closest I'll come to have a mini Anne Hathaway. Mattel got my money because of the Collect and Connect.

Add me to the group of folks who want to buy the signal off someone who bought the figures and just doesn't care for it Provided I can slip in a Batman Returns-style lens, cause the Nolan one won't cut it for me, no siree... And thanks for the photo Van. You're a real enabler!

Well, per Matty's SDCC Voucher Pre-sale we now know that the SDCC exclusive is what they are calling the "Bruce Wayne to Batman™ The Dark Knight Rises™ Movie Masters® Figure". Still no pics.
