Rocket Red? Platinum? I am SO glad I signed up for the sub now!!!

I never realized how many versions of Rocket Red armor there was. Very psyched we are getting Rocket Red. What era would you say this armor is from?

No clue. But I'm glad we got this version, instead of the one from JLU.

That is the revamped Rocket Red Brigade armor shown in the 52 series. Not the original armor, or the Dimitri Apocalypse suit, or the newer Gavril suit, but the army-builder Brigade suit.

Ah crap Ryan. Why'd you have to go and say that? Now I want to army build these damned things. I hate you.

Here's the problem with this version of the Rocket Red character - those suits aren't oversized. Dimitri's suit from Apocalypse was unique and huge, but these suits were made to be like Iron Man - sleek armor and not huge. So making this version an oversize figure is not exactly correct. It should have been the JLI Dimitri version:

Awesome news all around. My sub-standard DC Direct versions of Mirror Master and Black Mask can join Jay on the eBay pile!

(Still not sure which Atrocitus I want to keep.)

Mirror Master looks great! I am so happy they put him in the subscription. We needed more members of Flash's rogues gallery and in one year we are getting both Reverse Flash and Mirror Master. I hope they get to Heatwave and Trickster eventually, but no rush.


I was really hoping that Poison Ivy would be the classic version of Pam. I always thought that the modern Poison Ivy would sell just fine at retail but that the subscription was the perfect place for the classic version. I'm worried that it might be a long time before we get the classic version now (if at all).


With Rocket Red being the first announced oversized figure, it does rejuvenate concerns that all of the oversized will come from the subscription exclusive vote. I guess we will see at SDCC whether Shaggy Man and/or Black Lantern Swamp Thing are given any of the 2 remaining oversize slots.
