Thrilled. Thanks to the many involved for getting this to happen. Special thanks to the Save the JLU Group. Extra special thanks to Toy Guru for getting this done for us. So when does the Start the GL:TAS! group begin?

This is so awesome! I was at the Penguins hockey game this evening and I spent 1/2 the time on my phone to make sure what I was seeing on Facebook etc was real and not some cruel cruel joke. Thanks Mattel, thanks TG (said with a straight face!) and thanks to the others on Save the JLU. Happy to be a part! Glad to see a more glorious end for us collectors.

Hope they make an extra number of Firefly three-packs because I plan on purchasing 15 of them myself. Rock On and thanks Mattel.

Maybe I am out of the loop, just plain clueless, or this has been said or pointed out before, but it looks like Toyman has no scar/crack in his head, and that's a cool surprise, right? D.

I don't believe this.
I had written those figures off.
Very good news.

Toyman's scar is still there as I'm sure you've seen by now.
Got to say, even I will pick up some of these. Gots to have my Mongul and Dr. Destiny.

Just did a quick unofficial count and got 189 different characters. By my count, based on this list I made a while ago, it was 185. With these packs being "officially" confirmed by Mattel, that is ten new characters (including flame-on Fire and Future Superman), so the count is 195. It is very generous for considering what is a new character (for example, I treated Adult Supergirl as a different character from Teen Supergirl). 1. Abin Sur 2. Adam Strange 3. When I counted, I excluding almost every figure that could be considered a variant which left out figures like Hereafter Supes and adult Supergirl. I did include Red and Blue Supes though. Either way, we're definitely north of the 175 unique characters number and that's amazing.

I just did a quick skim through my list and realized I didn't include the Flash. I only have a million of him, I have no idea how I missed him. Your count is probably more accurate. When I did that list, I was seeing what was the approximate percentage of new characters Mattel made versus repeats and repaints. Because I was being very conservative, I included a lot of repaints that could potentially be new characters (like Superman Red, Blue, and Recovery Suit).

The mileage varies on what's new and what's a repaint anyway. Some people don't count the Justice Lords as new figures. I don't think anyone could get below 175 though and you could probably climb up to 200.

awesome, awesome and awesome. Funny that they took Aquaman out when he is pretty in demand as well. Not complaining as I have him but I know quite a few people don't.
