I just got an e-mail from Mattel saying the first figure in Club Infinite Earths, Golden Age Flash, will be delayed until May. Bummer. Quote: DC Universe Fans,
It’s been a long time coming and DC Universe Club Infinite Earths is now on the horizon! Golden Age Flash will be the first figure released and we’ve just confirmed we’ll receive our shipment in mid-May. That means the club will launch in May instead of April. For subscribers, we’ll begin processing orders when the shipment is received (ETA is currently 5/12) and sending them out about 10 business days later. Although the club is starting in May rather than April, you’ll still get the nine figures you signed up for in 2012; we’ll just double up on figures for one month in the fall (you’ll have plenty of notice before it happens).
One thing of note: your club order will not be eligible for combined shipping until June, which is the first “renewal” month. You may recall that the first month a subscription order ships, it has to ship separately, then beginning with the second month it will be combined with your other subscriptions.
Okay, enough business -- on to the good stuff! At press time, here is the release schedule (as always, subject to change):
May: Golden Age The Flash June: Atrocitus (monthly figure) & Metron (club-exclusive) July: Starman (monthly figure) & Rocket Red (club quarterly figure) August: Mirror Master September: Black Mask
Even though he won’t arrive until May, our Golden Age The Flash figure will certainly be worth waiting for! The original scarlet speedster, Jay Garrick, will come with his vac-metalized signature helmet and, like all figures in the line, will feature great details and full articulation.
We’ll post updates at MattyCollector.com as we get closer and have more information. For now, you can look forward to an amazing year packed with long-awaited true collector characters!
Thank you for being a loyal customer - we appreciate your business.
– Matty

Yeah. I just got that as well. Not a big deal for me. They warned us that there would be delays with all of their lines. So I knew it was only a matter of when, not if.

Yeah, this isn't that big a deal to me either.
We've waited this long, what's one more month?
But it is nice to see a semi-official release schedule for the beginning of the sub at least. I imagine at SDCC we should see the remainder of the year and be given the remainder of the schedule as well.

It's not a big deal, but I'm not happy either. Get your act together Mattel.

I'm surprised by the massive amounts of early 'leaked' figures from China from the subscription. Is MoTU this bad?

Um they said 9 figures.
Aren't we getting 12?
9 regular + 3 oversized = 12 total
Plus the bonus Metron.

Plus the bonus Metron. I think they were just counting monthly figures when they said that.

You know, when they announced this line I wasn't excited at all. I ended up buying the sub even when I wasn't excited. Then as some time went by I got excited. Was really looking forward to it. When we had all of our reveals a few months ago I really lost excitement again. Add that with the hold up on DC All Stars (which I hadn't been that excited about), the continued price hikes, and then this push back...I just don't care anymore.
I won't re-up next year. Hopefully they'll do it for everyone else based on the #'s from this year, but I just can't get excited about it anymore. I'm not sure now if I'll keep any of my figures from this sub. Still weighing my options.
I loved DCUC, but have just lost the thrill of it I suppose.
