It's the "friend or foe" button. Just pick "foe". Unfortunately it doesn't stop PMs but it will lower your blood pressure otherwise.

Ah. Thanks. BTW, my son and I just got around to starting YJ, and now we're tracking down all the 4" toys loose. Is there any hope that Artemis might see a wider Marshalls/TJMaxx release? She seems to be the only non-JLU character that is hard to find in a recognizable form on eBay...

I'm kind of sorry that I missed all this :shock:

I'm very much in the middle - I'm a big fan of light moderation so that serious debates can take place and also those slightly more gutter-level conversations, but at the same time I find some of the more bigoted comments much more offensive than some (I absolutely detest words like "retard" for someone with learning difficulties, I get wound up with even mildly racist, sexist, religionist or homophobic comments).

I'm a bog-standard, English white married straight man in my 30's, with a wife who is physically disabled, no kids and no religion. And no, I'm not guapo's secret identity :wink:

On topic, I got a 6" goggle-less Kid Flash from someone in China the other day. If anyone has the goggles they don't want I'd love them. Just hoping there's a small chance the 2-pack will go through now.

When I broke up my box set for Kid Flash I sold him with the goggles. The one accessory form the Kid Flash and Batman sets I did not keep.

I, for one, won't miss guapo at all. The posts of his that weren't blatantly offensive were simply bizarre and incoherent.

The thing that surprises me is how long he lasted here. In most forums I frequent the constant sexist and homophobic slurs would have gotten him kicked off ages ago. It's kind of cool that AFI is slow to bring down the banhammer because it means that good posters who may have had a bad day or two stick around. The downside is you get people like guapo abusing the privelege.

I know I've posted stupid things here that could have gotten me banned elsewhere and I'm grateful I so far haven't gotten so much of a warning. But guapo's behavior has me thinking maybe I SHOULD have gotten warnings. The problem with light moderation is people often feel like they can post anything they want without consequences. I know I might be less quick with my temper if I knew there was a chance I'd get kicked off the forum and I'd hope the people who baited me either on purpose or not would feel the same way. Honestly, I'm thinking I may be "nicer" here anyways. I don't want to contribute to this forum getting more mean-spirited and I really have been doing a poor job of keeping civil lately. The "ignore" button is there for a reason. Maybe I'll use it more.

I have a similar story. Believe me , I know the feeling. Before I become a member of the team on the video game forum I spoke of, I was just a creator that had a big opinion. I would debate/fight with other creators a lot. The owners of the site wanted everyone to " play nice " So I was warned & muted many times. They taught me a little about self control on the internet & once I learned, I was invited to their project & became a mod. So believe me, we were lenient with people & gave chances. But guys like Guapo are just trolls who like to purposely push buttons.

Besides internet drama are arguing is one thing. Racist or sexist comments shouldn't be tolerated on any forum.

I'm sorry I missed it, too. Sounded fun. A fight between one guy who's nasty intolerant comments got him on my ignore list and a complete raving lunatic who was too fun to ignore. That's what this site needs more of!

It's not like we have anything else to talk about on this thread - the only way that meter is gonna fill up enough for these last figures is if Mattel just lies and bumps it all the way up for some reason. But it's not like they've deceived us before, now have they?

Maybe 8 months from now we'll be finding leftover Wave 3 YJ figs and Batman and Kid Flash at TJ Maxx or something. The sad thing is the show has gotten better and better while the toyline died.

The toyline died, because Mattel has the opposite of the Midas touch when it comes to DC product. Everything they touch turns to sh!t. Of course they blame us for it afterwards.

I "might" have a source of getting some actual cases of the WAVE 4 figures (GL, SUPES, ARTEMIS, and ROBIN). I'm working out a price now on them. If I'm able to get them at an affordable price I'll post on here for anyone that may be looking to add them to their collection. It's all really going to depend on how much it will cost me. I'm not looking to flip them on Ebay for outrageous prices, just looking to help out some fellow collectors. Again... no guarantees yet, but I will keep y'all posted!

I would be interested in Wave 4 as well-- but of course its all relative- based on what we all consider reasonable.
