I know it's supposed to be this month and probably on AOTS again... But when will they let us know when this will be?
Isn't C2E2 or something this weekend?
Is it me or are these announcements coming later and later in the year lately? Most companies haven't announced yet. Will they be announcing things this weekend?

Most SDCC Exclusive announcements are going to be in April/May this year.
Mattel has already stated in recent QnAs that they will be starting to make announcements later this month.
I am vaguely uninterested in what Mattel will be offering in light of all the recent cancellations of the DC brands.
Part of me wants them to offer up some of the "lost" figures as the SDCC offerings, and part of me hopes they don't so we might have a shot of getting something bigger/better as the exclusive.

I'm looking forward to another possible Marvel Legends exclusive but I'm not expecting anything DC from Mattel.

Mattel said they'd announce them definitely in April, and it's usually on Attack of the Show. I just want to know the date for that. They leave us hanging for too long with this stuff. Other companies seem to be taking their sweet time too. (Mattel won't be in May, it'll be April) I'm curious about the MOTU exclusive. They said it'll be the most parts used for a MOTU figure ever. Which leads me to think it's Modulok. But I could be wrong.

Hasbro has announced that Shockwave Repainted Hiss Tank and Destro Set, , the Jinx Figure & Variant as well as the Vintage 7 pack with the Carbonite Jar Jar. Of course nothing for the super hero lines yet...

Here's a link to a list of what's been announced and what hasn't. Very little has been announced so far... http://awesometoyblog.com/san-diego-com ... xclusives/My question though, is, with C2E2 (or whatever it is) this weekend, is that when dates and stuff might be announced?

As much as I want you to be right... Modulok doesn't feel like a 30th anniversary-kinda character. I think it's going to underwhelm.

The haven't seemed to do much in the way of character selection for the 30th. They've done the contest and the second sub for Photog, etc., but I don't see the 30th thing impacting the regular line all that much. For my guess for the SDCC exclusive, I'm only going by the hint they gave about the character having the most parts or accessories. And that Modulok wouldn't seem to fit in anywhere for the regular sales on Matty anyway. I guess he'd have to be a quarterly beast slotted guy or something. Maybe it's Multibot:p

There is speculation at the .org that the 30th figure will be based on the three sculpts used to sell the vintage line to upper management. Basically a single MOTUC figure with barbarian, modern military-styling and sci-fi accessories to create a "classics" version of any one of them (and if that is the case then I'm going to be $90 in the hole just getting three of that figure).

You and me both! That sounds pretty cool.

J- you do remember what those look like... right? I'm not "that" excited if this is the case. "3" figures that I have no nostalgia for, taking up a comic con slot, and space on a shelf? That said. Of course... I'll buy 3!

Some of my new favorite figures are ones that aren't totally focused upon characters. I love demo man for instance. But I would prefer Ram Man or Modulok. I get afraid that Mattel will pull a JLU and hold off on awesome figures that we all want, and then the line will die before they get released. Or they'll cry poverty again. I think it sucks that as it stands we aren't getting a castle grayskull....
