The new Jollibee Green Lantern figure looks a heck of a lot like it could belong to JLU. Especially the body type.
Take a look-> http://dchallofjustice.com/news/?p=13223

This makes me optimistic for the possibility of a Mattel version.

Thank you for posting this. The figure looks pretty good & I like the extras. Too bad he's not a little bigger, though. Now to figure out how to get a hold of one with out paying a fortune on ebay :roll:

PM me, I might be able to help. Agreed with the size. I feel like picking up a Captain Atom to duplicate the look (of the head) for a custom.

Wow. I couldn't disagree more. I think the resemblance is only due to the fact that JLU and the Jollibee figures are both based on the Bruce Timm art style. The style of the figures on the other hand doesn't match up well. The arms look way too long for one thing. In the comparison pick at the bottom Aquaman's arms/hands only hang as low as his mid thigh but GL's right arm/hand hangs down to his knee. Personally I think the GL figure looks terrible.

Mmm… hashbrown burgers.

Regarding the toy, the head on this GL can probably be easily placed on a JLU body

Sakura, in the Philippines, Jollibee is a fast food chain in the Philippines with a few branches around the world as well.

As for the head, the plastic isn't so hard that you can't cut it off, but it's too small for a JLU figure.

I don't think it looks much like a JLU figure either. Just based on similar art.

This makes me think that Mattel should solicit their Green Lantern sculpts to fast food joints. They'd be the best toy pack-ins ever, and Mattel would recoup some of their investment!
