Weird that board members in the UK are getting theirs before me, and I'm in Canada, which is, you know, ATTACHED to the continent they shipped from. Must be a nice Jubilee present!

Finally received my Jay after over a month of email/phone shenanigans. (I'm counting all the time it took for me to get it through their thick heads that I'd changed my address)
For my troubles, I ended up avoiding any of the overcharges I'd heard about, and also got free shipping out of the deal. Almost makes me hope they forget to send me the next figure too.
But only almost. Next sale date will determine whether this was a one-off screw up or if I'll be calling them into July trying to get my Atrocitus and Metron.

And the hits just keep on coming!
So, my credit card got hacked a night or two back. Apparently after I left the gas station, the clerk inside copied mine and some other people's cc info and went to town online.
Mine was used to "purchase" over $400 worth of "services" from an escort service which my bank immediately caught and blocked. Yay. Unfortunately, my card was cancelled and I've been issued a new, temporary card while they transfer all my account information over to a new account with new numbers, cards, checks, etc. Yay.
So, I just got off the phone with Matty to update my subscription information.
Let's see how well this goes for me. I can see me not getting Atrocitus or Metron, DR/Matty is just that much able to be with it.
Yay. (I feel like I need Terry Gilliam to come animate my "yay"s for me ...)

Yay. (I feel like I need Terry Gilliam to come animate my "yay"s for me ...) OK, I know from personal experience that if you called GO-MATTY, then it will *not* be updated. You need to call the corporate office, explain the situation, and ask to be transferred to Escalation Support. Those are the folks who *might* be able to straighten it out. The corporate number is 952 253 1234 Oh, and get on that ASAP. They claim that as long as they update it by the 8th, then the monthly sub shipment goes through OK. Otherwise, probably not. Hurry! Good luck!

Called both numbers and emphasized SEVERAL TIMES that I wanted to change my card information for the sub.
The Corporate number claims that they aren't selling an item called the DC Universe Club Infinite Earths Subscription and "can't" help me without a currently open order number.
The "GO-MATTY" number actually seemed a bit more helpful as they understood what I was talking about at least and they claim that everything is adjusted.
Now I'm in a "wait and see" mode and I'm not feeling overly positive about it.
Someone at Mattel really needs to get OFF THEIR ASS and do something to end these issues NOW. This is unacceptable business practice in this day and they will lose business because of it.

I'd also suggest going into your account on Matty.com and updating(deleting) that old card in your payment information bnj. Not sure if that will help fix the problem, but it can't hurt.

Did that too.
With everything else I had to adjust (almost all of my banking is done online and/or automated so I had to contact my utilities, sallie mae, car, insurance, and recurring magazine subscriptions ... every single one of them was no problem and rectified before I was even done telling them what the problem was), Matty.com/DR was by far the WORST experience hands down.
I still can't believe that a company this inept is still in business. It really is deplorable. I can't stress enough how much I despise this company.

Milo, call the Matty(DR) number and see if you can get things sorted out. I'm sure you've already tried, but thought I'd suggest it again. If that doesn't work, call the corporate number and see if you can get it sorted out there.

I've just had this message from Matty: Quote: Hi Joseph Throssel, The credit or debit card ending in ************4594 and associated with your Club Membership will expire before the club is due for renewal. If your billing and payment information is not updated your subscription will be put in an inactive status. Subscription Details: Current Product: Club Infinite Earths 2012 Subscription - Initial Figure Expiration Date: June 14, 2012 Most Recent Order ID: ********** Order Date: July 22, 2011 To ensure your Club status remains "active" please give us a call at 877-GO-MATTY or email us at MattyCollector.CS@digitalriver.com to update your credit or debit card payment details. Now, that card is dead and gone and has been for a while (hence the reason I have no worries putting the end of the number up here) and Jay was charged to the correct card number that I updated early this year when the company changed hands and I got the new card. Do I need to worry? I'm working on the principle that the cock-up is with their system not recognising that that particular card has been superseded, based on Jay going through correctly (ignoring the additional $5 for now) more than the cock-up being that they are trying to charge the wrong card. I got that too. Which is annoying because I've ordered a TON of stuff with a newer card in the past year. A card that happens to be on record at the Matty site. The right hand apparently doesn't know what the left hand is doing. BTW anybody else feel a bit annoyed that they're asking for a sub renewal when all we've gotten thus far from the initial sub is a single figure?

From what I have heard from the MOTUC guys, you will get a "renewal" every month. As if each figure is a separate sub purchase.
Very annoying.
But hell, with all the other nonsensical BS that Matty/DR put into place with absolutely no understanding of modern eCommerce, I'm really not surprised at anything that happens at this point.
I'm just going forward with the mindset that something will be created internally at Matty/DR to purposefully muck things up and when I eventually get my figure I'll be pleasantly surprised.
I won't be silent about it, and I will definitely warn others away from suffering this nightmare, so at least Matty/DR can look forward to a steady stream of bad press coming from my end.
I figure it's the least I can do.

OK so I followed John of the Dead's advice and called the number he listed to talk to DR directly. (thanks by the way)This is a much better solution to the problems I have been having. So I now have Jay, Atrocitus and Metron all coming to my house at once and they waved the shipping on Jay for me. Now the only thing I am still waiting for is the refund I am suppose to get for the mis shipped "Jay Garrick". DR canceled my first Jay and refunded my account (so they say it will take 5-7 days) so they could resend the new one to the right address. We will see what happens. Anyway if you have any problems like I did I suggest for going Matty Collector and call Digital River Escalations Support. See if you can get in touch with Brady O. he was very helpful.

The refunds are very slow to process in my experience.
It took mine closer to the 7-10 days after I got my refund notice but it did show up.
Again, another unacceptable business practice in today's marketplace.
Keep watch on your account and you'll see it there.
I REALLY hope that someone at Matty (like, maybe Scott) is keeping tabs on all this as well. For as much as they say they are doing to help alleviate CS issues, there continue to be way too many inconsistancies and idiotic practices happening with that site and service.
