As Shellhead said - it's pretty dead around here right now. We're still a couple weeks before SDCC, so let's hear what you are expecting/hoping/demanding to see at the show from Mattel! DCUC, MOTUC, etc.

I demand to see some sort of promise of a retail life for DCuC... in any form... as a Batman or Superman line... or DCNU 52 line... just anything that keeps some 6" DC at retail... that's all I want... some hope which of course they will adhere to once spoken!

DCUC: the rest of the 2012 sub and the first 3 and first Big Figure of the 2013 sub.

MOTUC: Ram Man. It's time. Also at least 2 more female POP characters and 2 more Snake Men.

And, most of all, the relaunch of DCUC type/scale figures at retail in 2013.

Pipe Dream: A fully MU compatible DC 3.75 line. All the articulation, etc.

Oh, and they get rid of $&%#ing Digital River for the Matty Site.

Hoping: good news about the characters I want in the lines I collect with some straight answers about when they'll be released and how I can easily purchase them.

Expect: Casual excuses about unreleased previously announced products (with plenty of blame placed on the consumer as opposed to the manufacturer), vague promises about new products we should be getting excited for in 2013 (or 2014), some preview figures of characters/lines no one wanted but will warm our pegs, and a few new figures we're all anxious to own but will most likely never see for less than $100 on ebay.

HOPING: For a DC Nation line that incorporates various animated lines like Young Justice, Green Lantern, JLU, New Teen Titans & Beware the Batman.

EXPECTING: A cluster frak of scales that will make the whole concept of cross pollination between customers/collectors of weaker lines, a waste of time and plastic (e.g. six inch Titans, 3.75" animated Green Lanterns, 4" Young Justice and 5.5" inch Batmen.)

Isn't it sad how our expectations have been lowered over the past 18 months? DC just seems to be dying these days.

I don't expect much of anything. I know we'll hear about sub figures, I'm sure we'll hear about the new retail line which may have a few gems but other than that I expect nothing that will interest me.

MOTU: Hoping for Ram Man, Glimmer, Angella, and Jitsu

DC: Some sort of animated line.

hope: DC & Matty shut up all the whiners and complainers about the lack of this or inclusion of that.

MOTUC

I'd love to see Adora 2.0 (with twist waist and proper panties), Octavia, Sea Hawk and Glimmer.

I expect to see Glimmer or Castaspella, but likely not both.


JLU

I'd love to see Volcana in the place of MM or Bats in the Guy Gardner three pack, and Dr Destiny with the boot cuff legs.

I expect to see the three packs, as is.


As for DC in general...I don't know what to expect. They have GL prototypes, but is the show big enough to warrant a potential toy-line? Probably not, I'm guessing. I don't see Mattel making a "Random Animated DCU" line, no matter how much we suggest it. So...no idea. I'm not expecting any news on this front, honestly. Probably some more DC Direct stuff...

I am just hoping to see some decent use of the DC License at retail. Preferably in the 6-Inch DCUC style, but just something that isn't movie-based and can fill up the action figure aisle beyond Batman Power Attack.

Of course, I am looking forward to the DCIE subscription, both the balance of 2012 and what might be for 2013.

Some more licensed Hot Wheels would be nice. Expanding the current 1:50 Batman line to incorporate other vehicles (in a new line), some already done in the 1:64 standard HW scale, would be cool. I'd love a 1:50 scale Time Machine, KITT and ECTO-1. I don't expect to see these though. I'd also take them in 1:18 scale too (remember the 1989 Batmobile in this scale?).

I don't collect anything else from Mattel besides DC -- Ghostbusters is "on hold" and Voltron doesn't look promising beyond 2012 -- so that's it for me.

Is Action League also dead?

I guess I am looking forward to seeing what they have, but its not like 2006 where one of the reasons I went to SDCC was because I wanted to see the next wave of JLU.

the MOTUC are always a mixed bag for me, but I agree with everyone else, Ram Man would be awesome.

more DCUC figs, sub and DCNu figs. I also hold out hope for some of the Young Justice season 2 characters to get 6 inch representations somewhere, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hoping for a 3 3/4 inch line (like MU) as animated as great as it was has been overdone. DCUC just doesn't cut it at retail but they will just reboot DCUC in the new 52 styles anyway.
