I was going to say I'm hoping they are losing the DC license, but what I really want is for them to fire all the buffoons who constantly screw up the distribution on all their lines and hire some people who know what they hell they are doing. I know it's not an exact science and hindsight is 20/20, but there are many mistakes they have made that we all saw coming from a mile away. This applies to the DC lines, WWE lines, Cars, whatever. Stores being filled with pegwarmers and nothing new is pathetic and leads to lost sales and failed lines.
I expect we will see the same old stuff - some great looking figures which will be a pain to find, some crappy figures that will be easy to find, and a general malaise.

kidsidekick wrote: hope: DC & Matty shut up all the whiners and complainers about the lack of this or inclusion of that. On the one hand, I understand what you are saying. On the other hand, don't you think the Mattel DC product is in worse shape now than it's been in a long time? I don't broogle and gripe about little things in these lines like some folks do, but crapping out cheap uninspired product and killing lines left and right can't possibly please anybody. What are they doing right these days? I want the DCUC Starman and probably the overpriced JLU 3-packs from Matty - there's nothing else DC related I know of besides the sub figures and that one DCU wave. I guess the Action League figs if they come out. Everything else is dead except their third-rate Dark Knight line I bought a few figures from. And the WWE figures are being plagued by the massive waves of John Cenas that have crashed upon the retail landscape - that line is reaching a new high in frustration. I just want to know what exactly are they doing right these days? Not much. I hate when people broogle and whine about all the little things - but these are big problems Mattel has right now.

As much as I do think Matty has to take responsibility for their mistakes (quality and distribution being two big ones), I also can't help but wonder if the toy industry as a whole is shifting in a major way. Have we just all had enough of Batman and Superman merch at our local stores...are other property-based toy lines doing so much better than DCU-related lines...or is the industry moving towards online, higher-priced, collector-focused items?
I really don't know what the "hot" in-store lines are these days. Cars? Ben10? Power Rangers? WWF? Beats me.

Unfilled promises, Angel?
You guys are getting six final packs (including some extra guys thrown in like Dr. Destiny).
I'm not seeing any unfilled promises.
The rest you could make a case for.

Yeah, Volcana was supposed to be reissued, but I wouldn't call her unfulfilled. She did get out there, just in extremely low quantities.
As far as what I'm hoping to see? News about DCU Classics (or whatever the replacement line is) along with the 2013 sub figures. I'm expecting to see just the first three or four though.
I'd also love to hear their plans for Voltron for 2013. Should be interesting.
EDIT: And as a final thank you to JLU fans, Granny Goodness on Matty. Just for Stewbacca.

I'm not seeing any unfilled promises. First let me just say thank you Mattel for the last nice six 3-pack. That was great. As to Shellhead... What do you mean by saying your not seeing any unfilled promises? To answer your Q: though Shellhead.... Translucent Volcana was dangled in front of us for 2yrs as a promised single, then a 3-pack and then finally as a 6-pack that never came to be. Others were Singles that never saw the light of day after showing them as coming out, but never did, such as... Tracksuit Batman Aquaman (bearded and in orange) Hawkman (comic style) KGBeast B'Wanna Beast w/wonder pig Atomic Skull w/atomic blast Cheeta Crimson Fox Did I miss anybody?

Most people wanted the regular one, which was released Batman - never promised, never even shown at a show I believe, could be wrong Aquaman - told from day one that version was a stand in for the one we got Hawkman - I'll give you that, although we already had 2 of them Everyone else on your list - already released in 6 and 3 packs.

Hoping for:
A magical crystal ball that can grant every collector's DC desire with character selection and put the exact amount of figures that every collector in any area wants to purchase so there are zero peg warmers and product is put on the shelves immediately after they are sold out.
In addition any figure done as a prototype should automatically be a retail release. We are entitled to figures we see in any way even if you decide it is not a good business decision or the retailer decides not to buy them from you.
$2.99 figures
MU line (do it already)
Expecting: More DCUC product and complaining (me included till they do a 3 3/4 inch line)

I love cookies. We all want that however it just isn't feasible on that scale of course but Mattel can do better.

I WANT to hear: amazing news that knocks my socks off...
I EXPECT to hear: some mildly interesting announcements that are only half the info needed causing a few months worth of speculation and misinterpretation until Mattel finally comes clean and attempts to clear the air ...
basically, the same as last year.

Want to see:-
- Two Bad for MOTUC (in this years subscription) Spoiler (with unmasked Steph head) announced one way or another in DCUC line Confirmation that all previously shown or sculpted Action League figures (including B&TB) will be released. Confirmation that we will never ever ever get a Granny Goodness JLU, because everyone at Mattel hates the damn character.. Since there are about 250 300 other characters that would make better JLU toys first than an old fat white woman.-- And they give us a list.. Give it up already..
Expect to see--
5 Different scales of crappy new upcoming Superman Movie figures. That the fan winner of the MOTU design contest- is a figure with an oversized head an a giant crown on it- called SUCK-OR
