What other methods should be taken to get more subscribers then? If it didn't meet expectations last year, when these classic characters still had a presence both in the isles and in the comics, how could it have a ghost of a chance this year?
They are marketing to such a small group. The % of people they are marketing to that they hope buy it, really already knows about it.
I mean, how many mom and dads are going to sign up for a subscription with the little flyer they get when they buy a retail figure? Not many. It's the cost involved.
They have to get the people who already know about it and don't buy it...they have to get those #'s up. The cost to market to the people who don't know, figuring up the small return they'd get...and then trying to make those #'s make sense...it would be too expensive.
