So is it safe to assume they've secured all the major likeness rights here? It would suck if one particular actor or their surviving estate refuses to sign off on it, preventing one of the main heroes or villains from ever being made. If this was a DCUC sub-line, we'd just get generic faces on DCUC bucks, but if it's a Movie Masters line then they're going for authenticity including the real actor likenesses.

I can live without figures of Aunt Harriet, Gordon, or the police chief though. Just give us Batman, Robin, Batgirl, and the 5 or 6 most prominent villains. That would make a nice set.

I wonder if they'd ever give us Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson in their preppy plainclothes too, complete with a Shakespeare bust accessory. That would make a real nice exclusive convention 2-pack, with a cardboard backdrop of the Wayne Manor library. :)

Also, would Mattel finally break their own rule and produce a Batmobile in the 6" scale? You just can't produce these figures without also making that iconic 1960s Batmobile.

Finally... I wonder if Mattel might use this nostalgic line to guage interest in other past films/shows being produced in the Movie Masters line, versus something current such as Nolan's Batman films? Maybe if these sell well enough, they'll move forward with doing Burton's Batman figures or Christopher Reeves' Superman.

Although I agree not needed... I wouldn't frown if they made Aunt Harriet, Gordon or Chief O'Hara!
