Okay, so the club thermometer has been updated today. Anyone think it will make it?

It's a good start. We'll see where it is in a week or so.

I doubt we make it. We didn't make it last year.

We only have 3 weeks. I doubt we'll hit the mark either. I just wonder if they'll cave in once again since they already have so many of the figures sculpted.

It will probably go on. One last year, but I hope it goes through...I bought 25 subs this year to help out. Didn't buy any last year tho lol

25 subs? From a toy company? To "help" out? I can't justify one. I can't wrap my brain around buying more than one. Help out who?

Maybe they lowered expectations this year. Did it even come close last year?

I could see it getting to Level 1, but Level 2 has no chance in hell. They seem to like trying to scare people into signing up.

I don't really have any interest in any of the 2013 sub figs so it makes no difference to me - I got the one 2012 sub fig I wanted today in Starman - but I hope you guys get to complete your teams and that the sub does go through.

Everyone should be getting back from SDCC by now, so it'll be interesting to see if there's any surge in the meter from those who saw the figures in person at the show and then ordered the subs once they returned home from their trip. If not, then... we're screwed.

Wanted to help me out cause I collect every DC and Marvel 6'' figure out there, and also those ppl who want the club to continue. I hope you guys buy atleast one.

Though to be fair, last year nobody knew what to expect from the sub. There were maaaany many "they'd better not give us costume repaints and New 52 stuff" posts, and it didn't help that there were only a couple reveals and a chance at being stuck with a godawful subscription exclusive figure.

This time we already know 5 figures (a couple of which have been widely requested), the sub figure, and we've got a year's worth of proof that Mattel isn't sticking us with stuff like Super Powers Penguin. I'm not saying we'll definitely make it, but it's a whole different ballgame.

I think we have a better chance, since this year it's more of a known entity.

I would think, just based on they way they seem to be marketing it with the second level, that they are setting customers up for the idea that this is the last year. This way, they don't have to just give us bad news. They can give us good news with the bad news. That would seem like a sound marketing strategy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but we ended up getting the last JLU packs because new management likes to sell product when money was already spent developing said product. Seems to me that if they already know figures that would be in the line, it's because money was probably already spent on designing them and such.

This is all pure speculation and quite possibly wrong.

Looks like it was just updated again and has gone up a little more. Maybe we'll pass the round end of the termometer within the next couple days.
