Those do look really good. So sad...

Gah!
And with the recent output of Artemis, Superman, and Green Lantern auctions closing over $100 each (and even $200 in a few of them), I am certain to have yet another toy line that will forever be incomplete...

Are they really going for that much now? I picked up an Artemis for waaaaay less than $100. I could have got a Green Lantern too for like under $15. These were the loose versions though. It's interesting to see the packaged versions pop up. The protos look good. I haven't seen any episodes of this show so I'm not quite sure what their costumes look like. I probably would have picked up Batgirl. Impulse looks very similar to Kid Flash.

That had the makings of a very nice Manta and Batgirl.
Ah well.

I saw these the other day and thought, "bummer!" I really liked the 4" scale of this line (except the arms sculpts were awkward). I have wondered if they only concentrated on 4" figures (since DCUC had 6" figures covered) how many characters could have been produced without $$$ going toward producing 6" inch figs like Robin, Superboy, etc. Regardless, it saddens me to see these prototypes. I do wonder ... since Artemis, Superman, & Green Lantern are being sold in package on ebay, will they possibly pop up at retail (however limited)? Of course, on the other hand, my YJ 4" collection will always feel incomplete with all the never produced great characters showing up in season 2.

If I can just get my hands on an Artemis I will consider the collection "complete". That'll give us the core team from Season 1 and I'll happily be able to move on.
I would love it if I came across a Superman, Green Lantern, and the rest of the Adult team, but if I never get them at retail-ish prices, I won't be bothered.

I think it's official. Batgirl is the harbinger of death to a small line. Twice we've been close to a release and both times the line dies.
