Ch 120 cable The HUB, still plays BATMAN BEYOND & BATMAN the animated series.
What if Mattel took the JLU Batman Beyond molds they already made and added more characters to make a new BB line, with new packaging? Half the work is already done to start the first 2 waves. I mean thanks to the HUB, the exposure is already there.
NEW possibles: Transparent cloaked Batman Terry McGinnis (civilian clothes) Ace the dog Barda Green Lantern (Kai Ro) Blight Inque Shriek Spellbinder Curare Stalker Big Time King RFG Queen RFG Jack RFG Ten RFG Ace RFG DEE DEE's 2-pack Joker Beyond Ghoul Woof Bonk Chucko Mad Stan Cobra Zeta Max Gibson Commissioner Gordon (Barbra) the Terrific Trio
OLD JLU to mix in: Batman old Bruce Warhawk Superman Aquagirl Static Micron

Its a beautiful wish list.
But I can't get myself excited about it because the reality is ... it won't happen.
I'd buy the figures, but it won't happen.

I'd buy the figures, but it won't happen. Seconded. You had me excited that there was a new line by your title and then I realized it was just another wish list Don't get me or bnj wrong. Seems both of us would love this line, but I doubt we'll ever see anything outside of peoples customs.

Id like it as well--
But part of it makes me wonder (since Hasbro does own the hub network)-- wouldnt they kill the show it the minute Mattel even considered this..

Right.
But again ... the Hub is owned by HASBRO and the current holder of the DC licenses (including BTAS and Batman Beyond) is MATTEL.
I will state with pure conviction on this one ... you will NEVER see Hasbro produce toys for Mattel and vice versa. It just won't happen.
To be frank, I'm surprised the Hub is even airing those shows. CN or Boomerang, sure, but the Hub is a bit of a shock to me.

It's fun to imagine them doing this, and we all get a kick out of imagining our wish lists...

It would still make more money than JLU presently does, because of the HUB exposure.

Isn't Mattel losing the rights to DC anyway? Maybe Hasbro can buy the rights and the molds, if Mattel is giving up on JLU anyway. This way Mattel can recoup their investment losses in JLU that they said they had.

The Hub is only half owned by Hasbro, Discovery owns the other half, and they are a network like any other. They can air, promote and advertise anyone's shows/properties.

This way Mattel can recoup their investment losses in JLU that they said they had. What makes you think that? I mean, it makes perfect sense, since Mattel is working on new retail lines for DC and Batman at retail, trying to get DC and Watchmen figures to sell online all through 2013, and working on a Man of Steel and '66 Batman toys. They just reupped the license last year. And if another company would get the rights to DC one day, they would pay DC for them - not Mattel. Mattel wouldn't make one red cent off of it to help cushion the losses they incurred from JLU.
